What are the chances the Pat's want him back? Whats the most we could get in return?

It all depends on how Bill sees him but dude was a huge huge fan. They aren't sitting pat with Cam Newton I know that.

The most is a 2. 3 might be more likely but who knows.

We can get our 2 back lol

The prospects for upgrading our QB, OL, DBs and edge rushers aren't great. The Niners don't have enough draft picks to trade up and still be able to fill all their needs. Unless they really roll the dice, any QB we take will probably be a 2nd or 3rd rounder. If they move up using draft licks, then it leaves other positions of need. They may not draft high enough to really get much in a trade.

All

Of

This

For sure once we started flirting with the last playoff spot hopes of going away from Jimmy this year were gone. Next year that may change, we may get lucky with a mid rounder but the attempt wont be made barring some craziness with a Vet who is a clear upgrade shaking lose for the right price. We will draft interior O line, Pass rush and corners and hope Jimmy can get his confidence back. The team when healthy is more than good enough to hide his flaws.

Key word legit starting QB.

Darnold? Seriously? Stafford is way too expensive and will be more $ than Jimmy and falls in the same category as Ryan.

Didn't we just see better OL play last season with Jimmy and we were pretty successful doing that? This crew can't even RB as well as last year's lineup so we don't even have that to rely on.

Now it's legit QB. Ok well what Legit OC is available for a realistic price?

Stafford would make less here than Jimmy in 2021.

Ryan would cost the Falcons cap space to move. Stafford would save the Lions cap space. Not the same at all.

Well yeah, you all are saying JG is not a legit QB so I'm assuming you want something he isnt? What's a realistic price for any player? Juice leads the league in "unrealistic contracts" every year but for us he's worth it because of the way we use him.

There's no way in hell Stafford comes here in 2020 for less $ than Jimmy's 2020 number. Not gonna happen unless we're planning to backload it. Stafford is signed through 2023 with the Lions and he'll want more gtd $ if we're talking about the end of his career with the 49ers.

And if I'm the Lions, I'm asking for a s**t ton of picks for Stafford. We would need him more vs a team that's rebuilding.

Good call GM!

Brunskill is not a good starting center in the NFL.

Or G. He's a backup T at best.

How about moving Brunskill to T and moving McG to G. I think McG would do better inside.

"Hey guys, I know he can't handle 250 lbs edge rushers, but how about we move him inside vs 300+ lbs interior dl "

I asked NC this same question (trying to Boone McG). NC politely pointed out putting a 6'8 skinny guy at G probably wasn't the best idea.
