O line coach tested positive for Covid. That unit will probably have their best game of the year.

I asked NC this same question (trying to Boone McG). NC politely pointed out putting a 6'8 skinny guy at G probably wasn't the best idea.
That's interesting. He previously advocated to have him put at G

I was thinking this only bc from what I can remember Brunskill was better at T, now I agree idk how Mcglinchey would do but my thought was if Williams signs elsewhere the Brunskill at LT and upgrade RG in the draft.

I considered it at one time too but that was before he dropped like 40 pounds and decided to get bull rushed and pancaked by DB's.

Yeah McG had issues with power at ND. He should have never been an option at RG.
His balance and technique are a freaking mess right now....it's really weird.
On the bright side Colton McKivitz looked damn good didn't allow a single pressure vs that WFT defensive line. They need a center. I'd look at Corey Linsley spotrac has him at 3yrs $26M (think he get's a little mor), he knows the scheme and the Packers are like $20M in the hole....also Elgton Jenkins can play center. I think Kyle would prefer to go with a vet vs a rookie there.
Let Brunskill/McG fight over RT in 2021. Grab another guard on day 3 for depth.

It all plays a part
The fact that this is where we are now is a sign of progress. When I was hand-timing every sack in the 2006-2012 timeframe for FanHouse and then Football Outsiders it was hard to convince fans that Peyton Manning saved the Colts sack #s and Joe Flacco killed the Ravens sack #s. https://t.co/sP83WSf1uJ

Didn't we just go through this very routine with Brunskill? I'd seriously consider upgrading both C & RG too if possible. McGlinchey isn't going anywhere and he needs all the help he can get.
Brunskill, McKivitz & Garland are nice depth pieces IMHO.

Yup and then some. ANYONE tasked with PP needs to be included in unit PP grades.

Man if only there was a player we could have taken instead of Mike McGlinchey maybe a player that has become a pro bowl caliber player and to some the best cover cornerback in football.

Then we would've had to pay Trent brown a crazy contract, while Jaires contract also coming up, they made the right move, Mcglinchey just hasn't been as good as hoped.
