Yeah, just put some lipstick on it.

Your standards literally went from believing this was a Championship OL or at least good enough to win one to: "it's also not AS horrible as fans think" in about 4 months.

Highlarious.

It was a championship OL last yr lol...last I saw they went to the SB derp.

Quit trying so hard to makeup s**t. We understand NC, you hate everything about the OL and drafting IOL with a top 10 pick will fix everything lol.

Still have yet to hear a single thing about how you "fix" your horrible OL lol.

You're good at complaining, but I haven't heard a single draft prospect who fits our scheme from you.

Sure, as long as they didn't have to pass to win. LOL. Derp. Proven again this year too no matter the 3 QB's used. It just is what many of us always told you it was...a poor pass protection unit that ensures each QB develops Battered QB Syndrome. And one that cost us #6.

I'm not good at complaining. Just in recognizing the clear weaknesses on the team and calling it out when it isn't fixed.

Coming into the season I said pass protection, edge rush and pass defense were STILL the top team needs outside of health, of course.

That'll be no different next year either even if you decide to throw QB in that equation too. Which I understand too.

Eggggsactly.

So what is the better option? Draft a rookie QB and spend money in free agency (as limited as that may be) to upgrade the OL? Of draft OL early and hope Jimmy can revert to 2017 Jimmy and actually not get hurt? I can see benefits in either approach.

One of the dumbest stats known to man lol.

Pretty wild what a better QB can do with this stat if you watched Philly vs the #1 D in the Saints.

That list doesn't say how many times the QB dropped back to throw. It should be the number of hits per attempt.

Lombardi has a hard on for Jimmy and I caught him in a fabricated stat to prop him up last night.

No you're amazing at complaining, cherry picking stats that push your narrative, being hypocritical on this topic, and offer no real solution to this problem that you have exacerbated.

It also doesn't talk about the nuances of the QB playing, receivers around him, play calls etc...

Juice got rolled over for a sack, which has zero to do with the OL. Mullens held onto the ball too long and had instances where he could of ran instead taking a sack.

It's one of the biggest take with a grain of salt stats pushed in our faces every week. The ultimate cherry picking stat lol.

It's just funny how it disappeared last yr (complaining was still there) only to come back now like it's the truth again.

I agree. Unfortunately there are way too many stats like this that have no real meaning since they lack context. Ever since fantasy football started new stats are created every year.

Don't know the grade, but here you go from PFF. Thought I'd get it in before NC posts some bogus claim that he was beat like a drum under the guise of a joke 😂

Fellow 49ers rookie Colton McKivitz also turned in a strong performance, as the former West Virginia tackle played more than 50 offensive snaps at guard against Washington and didn't allow a single pressure on first review.

He gets stronger in the offseason and might have something there.

He's no David Edwards though.

Edwards, Noteboom, Evans and Allen. Now that's the kind of young talent that builds back up an OL

Not bad. I saw him pick up some stunts well. The WAS gameplan was geared to stop the run so maybe that's why his run block grade wasn't good.

So dumb the top half are going to the playoffs and the bottom aren't.

What's dumb was the Akash crap stat you posted. That was downright laughable. Nobody bought that in his comments for a second.

Same.

Honestly, IMHO, it's too late to see the positive effects next year in either direction.

Maybe...just maybe, quality OL will hit free agency because of the lower team cap in 2021 and we can get a really good veteran C & RG for much cheaper than normal but that's unlikely because we're cap strapped too unless you dump Garoppolo. But the reality is even if you clear up money, high quality OL just don't hit FA unless your name is Trent Williams. . So now you're putting a rookie QB behind essentially, the same unit pass protection issues. We know what that did to the previous 3 QB's. #BatteredQBSyndrome

The flip side is, as we're seeing with the top 3 T's this year and others, you can get high quality play right out of the gate but that's usually few and far between for OL. The good news is this is a better draft class than last year overall.

Obviously I want both improved dramatically but the likeliness is only one is going to get addressed in any meaningful way to where you see a marked improvement next year WITH upside over the coming years.

Very solid game overall and that was against a very good and active DL too. He's got 238 snaps and these were definitely his best thus far (current overall grade = 51.1 for perspective).
