Definitely. I look forward to your off season plan. You too have a good eye for talent.

All comes down to QB and what the plan is. I'd personally go after Stafford. What it takes to acquire him and what kind of value you can get for Jimmy G shapes what you do with the rest..

This is the year to attack guard and center. Good prospects in the mid rounds finally.

Convince Alex Mack to give it one more year at the minimum.

Not bad. But you're right, the style/strength of the QB might dictate the type of OL you go after and how they block. Stafford wouldn't be too drastic of a change say from Montana to Young to Garcia.
Look it's the OL, It's the QB, it's the coaches. The 100% truth is on most plays that where 3rd and 9 the OL gave the QB no time to look more then 5 yard down field and that's not going to cut it.
Just saw 49ers offensive line ranked 9 overall this year per PFF

How is that possible? Its a ninersnation article

Looking at this list, I think it shows how poor OL play is around the league not how good it is. Seattle top 10? RW is constantly under pressure and getting sacked. Raiders? Carr was regularly running for his life.

The fact PFF has us at 9 shows it. O line play is abysmal around the NFL.

If anything, it shows how dismal PFF is at grading OL and their weighting system. McGlinchey is a perfect example whereby he gets a 90 run blocking grade coupled with a 30 in pass protection but ends with an overall grade of 83.0.

Even David Lombardi (PFF guru) is starting to move away from their metrics and referencing others in his latest podcast.

But you're right in saying there aren't a ton of great OL's. Same for DL too.

Wait, but I thought Jimmy caused our O-line problems due to being a statue....instead, makes it seem like he masked a LOT of our o-line problems.

Simple solutions. Just scramble. Insert Nike logo here.
Just get a mobile QB, they say.

True. But case in point, you still need that OL to PP for him or you just end up like Seattle every year. Russell didn't eat. He was eaten.
