As to the rest, all good. I've never had an issue talking beyond talent and if you agree that's an issue now too, we'll have a platform to discussion.
I do not believe a QB is responsible for his own pass protection though so we probably disagree on the degree to which a more mobile QB can mask these pp issues if no more talent is added. But hopefully we add talent to both and together, that'll make a bigger difference.
No actually it was good enough for what Kyle wanted to run with this QB in 2019.
Yes we will disagree that a QB doesn't play a part in pass-protection and yes a statue behind center creates more challenges in regards to PP...you're pass-block win rate proves that.
Once we acknowledge every single thing that leads up to PP, we can have a much better conversation as a whole in here. Overall certain people haven't wanted to have that convo.
Hopefully it changes going forward.

The Browns have a very highly rated O line. One of the best in the NFL. Mayfield was still sacked 26 times this year and 40 last year. He's not super mobile but he moves better than Jimmy. Still gets sacked. So even with a good line the QB is going to get hit if he doesn't see the open receivers and holds on to the ball to long.

Are there any decent FA centers available this year? I don't know but if there is maybe they can sign one and still draft one. Most centers can easily slide over and play guard if needed.

No way the Packers let him walk but Corey Linsley would be a great addition. Much better than Richburg.

Yeah, they once got rid of their really good OL and built it back up. To NY's point, they have a new scheme now that also helps and Baker and the OL are getting more and more comfortable in it and in playing off each other.

Pipe dream but would be well worth it in this system for sure.

What I was trying to say was that even with a better O line, Jimmy or any QB is going to get hit. I'm all for improving the line. In fact I have stated before that if I was building a team I would start with the O line, then the D line and then add the skill positions. I've always felt that if you're strong in the trenches you give your skill guys a much better chance for success. Plus, O linemen tend to have longer careers than skill positions. But even with a good line the QB will need to get the ball out quickly. He'll need to be able to find the open guy when he's forced out of the pocket. Some people seem to think that adding a couple of O linemen will fix everything and keep Jimmy from getting sacked. It will help but he's still a sitting duck when the blocking breaks down. Make no mistake it will still break down. That's what the defensive guys get paid to do. As long as the league has guys like Donald, Watt and the Bosas no QB is safe.

Yes there are decent FA centers. Overall the center draft class isn't stocked.

That OL last night was without their top guard and RT for most of the game.
They're a run first team much like SF...getting up 21-0 just helps with everything. Play book opens up, run game is flowing, baker can move enough to help everyone etc etc.
They have a good OL spent cash/picks on center/OTs much like we have. Sf needs to get a good center.
