you know he's been here since 2017 right ?

Yes and in 3 years, Jimmy has took this team to a SB. Who are the other long list of QBs who've done that in the last 3 years for their team? This is a Jimmy thread discussion but we can play the skewed context game too.

I have no doubt that we would've been a SB team with about 15 other QBs. You really think Jimmy TOOK this team to a SB?

Yeah I do.

Wow didnt see that coming

If you watched the 2019 season, you don't get first seed if Jimmy doesn't ball out in the last seadderall game.

I think too many fans are looking at the team and focusing on position vs focusing on how the team is put together and how the parts work together. I've always thought that football is a team game, no one individual dominates across the board.

If someone believes Jimmy took they Niners to the SB they would also have to say Bosa took them to the SB. Or Kittle. Or Breida and Mostert. Or Buckner. It's obviously the ultimate team game and there are very few instances where you can pinpoint one player and say he was the reason a team wins. It's why I hate it when someone say that guys a winner because the team wins.

Fans keep talking about Jimmy winning 75% of his starts and how the team fares when he doesn't start. That would be true with nearly every good team when comparing their starting QB with their backups. Good TEAMS win about 75-80% of the time. Very few teams can lose their starting QB and not have a drop off.

not true, that is not the only way.. History has shown it can be multiple ways.

He's had a chance to play and watch unde the tutelage from great Coaches for nearly a decade.

how long do we wait ?

I heard a discussion about Jimmy's injuries and they mentioned that it wasn't just that he gets hurt a lot but when he gets hurt. His injuries have come in game 2, games 2 and game 3. The point being. it's not like he's taking a beating for 10-12 games and then getting hurt. it's happening really early without a lot of contact. The knee was without any contact. He just slipped on the sideline. There was contact on the ankle but no more than happens every week. It wasn't a brutal hit. I didn't see the shoulder injury in NE so I don't know about that one.

The Shoulder was dirty and legal until it happened to Rodgers. That is when they changed the rules of driving a QB into the ground

but either way, the statement was JG needs to know what Kyle wants. I'm saying its going on year 5 and if that is true then we are watching fools gold. Our team would have to elite all around

I love this.

Number 12 pick in the draft has way more value.

I dont know about that. Unless a franchise QB is on the board at 12, then it would be wise and move back to collect more picks. The niners have a lot of free agents who will test the market this year. 10 picks may not be enough to replenish the cabinet

Agree. With the way ShanaLynch has done well picking in the lower rounds, why not. At the #12 pick, I think you can get a future starting QB and one that can legitimately push Jimmy. But if ShanaLynch isn't going to choose a QB in a very good QB crop year -- Trade Down. They can always pick a QB later (maybe the fifth round? )

That's why I like NY85's push for a QB in the 12th pick. I think that kind of a player would push Jimmy to really take a look at how he takes care of his body like maybe the way Tom does in the offseason.

Both of Watson's ACL tears came off of non-contact plays in practice & watsons been injured more then jimmy..

What " legitimate" conclusion can we make of that?

I love when people propose we move on from Jimmy or trade Nick Bosa because they're injury prone while advocating a trade for Deshaun Watson.
