Yeaaaah. Praying for a miracle: Forester improves his OL's pass-blocking significantly.

Considering Foersters track record here, I'm hoping they replace Foerster after they lock up Trent Williams.
Re-Sign Trent, sign Alex Mack & Kyle Long 🙏🏻

I find it almost eeerie this article could be written today and you wouldn't be able to tell what date it was originally published.

It's only missing Foerster's tenure with the Dolphins which was exactly the same results he had with previous teams save the Redskins.

Yeah, I think losing Benton is a big hit to the offense. Forester isn't McKittrick or Scaranecca for sure.

Pick Mike 5th year option
Pay Trent Williams
Draft Slater
Make Mike and Slater compete for RT, Slater can even start at RG
Give Mike the Trent Brown treatment and send him to the Raiders wether is this year or next offseason
Slater becomes your RT
By the time Slater contract is up, Trent Williams will most likely leave. Move Slater to LT.

If we had another OL coach who I had faith in developing pass-protectors, then yes, I would be picking up the 5th year at $10.8M but because its Foerster who has never coached a decent - and I mean average pass protecting OL, I can't see McG getting better in SF. I say trade him and get another RT in the draft or let Brunskill play RT and find your future center and RG in the draft while you play Mack. Hell if you don't pick up that $10.8M option you can potentially bring in another FA piece.

If he is so bad I wonder why hasn't Kyle moved on?

Is contract is guaranteed for this season. Would make no sense to move on.

Agree with you on Foesters skill set. Thats why I think he has two assistants instead of one. I'm hoping those two assistants have the skill to teach the pass blocking to the OLine. Having said that, the entire OLine coaching is suspect until we find out otherwise in 2021.

What will help is an infusion of talent to the OLine position. Talent might just offset poor OLine coaching.

He is a great run blocker and Kyle loves the run game. It's his pass blocking that is horrible.
If McGlinchey comes into camp weighing the same as last year, then I would be all over trying to trade him for the best draft pick we can get, and sliding Brunskill over to RT. We HAVE to come out of this draft with AT LEAST 2 OL drafted, along with Mack brought in through FA. I am hoping we draft a OT, along with a OC who can learn behind Mack, but battle for the starting RG spot. Skule to me will have his butt on the burner, because Coleman+McKivitz will be battling him for the swing T role, and if McGlinchey stays at RT, then Brunskill will be in that swing T battle as well, along with hopefully a pre 5th RD. OT we draft this year.
