Man who is going to hike the ball to him?

I just read somewhere that Mahomes lost both OTs? Wow! The cap is **brutal** to any teams making the playoffs.

look I'm not saying Oline isn't vital, but lets not act as if he didn't hit wr's straight in the their hands or numbers for tds or big plays..... both of which would've totally changed the type of game it was atm.

Well, just playing devils advocate, he hit those passes last year against us. What changed? Well, his OLine was injured for one thing. WCO timing offenses are very sensitive to mistimed passes. If the pass comes in too early, a bit late, maybe at a different angle, those things affect the timing and synchronicity of the WR and QB. In other words, the injured OT's in the super bowl most likely did have some sort of effect on Mahome's dropped passes. He didn't look comfortable back there with the Tampa Bay pass rush. He looked flustered, and his passes looked hurried and thrown with what looked like a bit more velocity than what he looked like, throwing against our defense in last years super bowl.

The #Raiders are releasing Pro Bowl center Rodney Hudson, source said, a surprise in Las Vegas as their O-line receives a nearly complete facelift.
What could have been if not for aggressively prudent again.

That image is hilarious.

I mean, it's not wrong. It's why I'm surprised they're going as far in with Trent as they are. They literally don't have any week 1 OL starters on their roster.

Yeah that's not true. They literally signed Joe Thuney to an insane 5 year 80 mil yesterday

Right, forgot about that. Still not wrong what I said, they don't have any of THEIR OL starters from week 1.

I still find it funny, though, that people said for months that a more mobile qb like Mahomes could overcome our bad OL, then the SB happened and KC is going after the 2 best OL available. Lol. Like, if having an all-world scramble qb means you don't have to invest as heavily in OL, why is KC trying to get thr best OL they can?
Thoughts on Rodney Hudson?

Nice spin job.

KC is going after the best two OL available because their best two OL are gone because of injury.

Not sure what point you're trying to make here

Well I think JD"s point still stands. You need an OLine to protect your QB - whether they are mobile or not. Personally, I've always felt that with a Mobile QB you can skimp on the RB position, not the OLine position. Not so with a pocket passer, you need that RB squad to be strong so when the QB isn't having a great day, he can just hand off the ball to the RB.
Mack is the Richard Sherman of C's. His leadership, film study and mentorship is an excellent addition. We still need to find his young long term replacement though and we'll now need to use a draft pick on C. Like with Sherman, we never found or trained his young long term solution. I hope that's not the case here.

TW was a no-brainer retaining move. And well done!

We still need to ADD talent to a unit that got destroyed again last year in PP.

The good news is Mack only gave up 1 sack last year. Tomlinson is still one of the worst G's in the league in PP despite playing next to 2 HOF T's.

If they can upgrade the RG spot significantly, you can expect MM to play much better in a contract year.

Williams - Tomlinson - Mack - Slater - McGlinchey

Almost there!

How mad are you and GM going to be when they don't draft an OL in the 1st? Slater might be gone by 12 anyway.
