But that would be a fun topic given I'm the dude who said the entire team collapses in the 4Q with a guy who can't see anything past Jimmy Garoppolo. LOL

So does the entire team collapse in equal measure?

Nice. Some good news regarding the OL.

I'm not familiar with this guy but I'll eat up his take all day, every day. LOL

This is his first training camp ever. I like Rohan but you have to take his stuff with a grain of salt. I love his enthusiasm though.

In a sea of bad reports about our pass protection over the past couple of days. I will enjoy a positive report about our new starting LG.

See above YAC. You got me before the edits again!

Sorry. Nice video. I hope Banks gets those penalties cleaned up.

Does it matter? If one unit didn't fail, we might have made it to the Superbowl. From Kyle, to the defense not picking up the short passing game at the end, to Tartt, to a 42% QB pressure rate, to the whole secondary getting torched, to the Juice call, to not calling a T.O. to Garoppolo playing conservative, to poor punting and returning late, to the pass rush disappearing late again, to key bone headed penalties, to the absence of a running game, to key injuries, etc.

I could literally go on all day. I'll say this for the one millionth time in the WZ: "When this team loses, the entire team collapses together." And for some reason it seems to be in the 4Q when the pressure is on.

When 43 year old Robbie Gould is the only one who did his job the whole playoffs, you've got a problem.

Kyle himself has seen it 3 times now on 2 different teams and must feel like it's groundhog day.

If you feel the need to focus on one aspect and give it the highest weight, that's totally fine. But you'd HAVE to see the irony of that given today's back and forth.

"It's been awesome," Lance said of his offensive line's work early in training camp. "Jake Brendel's done a great job at center. Dan Brunskill as well. We've got two or three rookies that have done a really good job, getting a lot of reps with the ones. A couple of guys in my class, Aaron Banks and Jaylon Moore, I can go up and down the line.

"But those guys have done a great job. It's hard without pads on these first few days, but I'm super excited to keep going and keep growing with these guys."

Now that is a seasoned veteran response. Very mature.

I don't see how you can't analyze and weigh who's more to blame. It's not all the same. But that's why you don't use the final result as proof of anything. Yes the team failed. But it's all degrees. All those things aren't equal.

Yes, sir. Inspite of the frustration that I am sure he has been feeling over the past 2 days, he still has a positive outlook.

I'm going to join it. It's way too early to be taking anything too seriously.

That's all subjective on your terms, not fact.

If you want to make a pie chart of blame, contact All. He left out a bunch of points I listed but have fun with it! We did yesterday.

My Inferred Offensive Line Depth Chart after day 1:

1st Team:
Williams - Banks - Brendel - Burford - McGlinchey

2nd/3rd Team:
McKivitz/Moore/Brunskill - Moore/Zakelj - Brunskill - Moore/Brunskill - Moore/McKivitz/Brunskill

Outside looking in:
Skule, Sutherland, Shleuter, Po, West

Off the bench, McKivitz would come in at LT; Moore at LG, RG, and RT; and Brunskill at C.

After day 2:
no change, but it's noticeable that Burford remains starting at RG (as opposed to cycling through different players). It's unknown whether Moore would be starting at RG if McGlinchey were practicing.

edit-
Center also appears to be up in the air between Brendel and Brunskill, and you'd probably lean Brunskill based on experience.

After day 3:
major shakeup at multiple positions. New implied depth chart:

1st team:
Williams - Banks - Brunskill - Burford - McGlinchey

2nd/3rd team:
Moore/McKivitz - Moore/Zakelj - Brendel - Moore/Zakelj - McKivitz/Moore

Poe at RG too. I haven't heard anything about West yet.

Saying the Oline wasn't prioritized enough is definitionally subjective on your terms. So if the only criteria you use to defend that is title game losses then everything wasn't prioritized enough equally because they lost as a team. That was NY point.

The only way you can come to a conclusion that a specific unit wasn't prioritized enough is weighing it subjectively against production of other units, not by team results.
