overall pff grade 49.3

Who cares. He doesn't get his QB killed.

Now, RB's, that's a different story. LOL
They need to do better this week than last week. It should be easier on them though. The dolphins aren't as talented on the line as the saints.

I games where they play great jimmy does well and we score points. In games where they are only mediocre Jimmy can't make up for it.

i feel Saints are better defensively, but McDaniels knows jimmy and that will help them make up for what is missing

I hope McDaniels knows only sucky Jimmy and not improved Jimmy.

He knows all our players so he will probably target mglinctchey and make it painful for Jimmy all game. Advantage McDaniels as far as prior player knowledge. He knows the whole team whereas Kyle only knows a select few players.

Because no DC on our schedule up to this point has been smart enough to figure out that MM is the weak link on this O line.
Dolphins got a solid d line. None of them are better than Cam Jordan tho. Hopefully they bounce back. Brendal and the guards gotta stop letting quick penetration blowing up runs in the backfield

Yea I think the Saints D line is better than the Dolphins' line. I expect a bounce back game from the O-line with running lanes available for both CMC and JM. And it looks like TW is going to hopefully be okay to play based on KS comments.

No question about that. You can't survive in the NFL as a pure pocket passer without that skill.

There's no purity to pocket passers in the context you mention them in, FWIW. Some of the most mobile QBs have been "pure."

It's always inaccurate to use the term then exclude some of the best pocket passers around due to them having more tools in the toolbox.

"Slow Pocket Passers" or "Stationary Pocket Passers" may be better?? SPPs? Just doesn't sound as sexy to the ears I guess?

They will stack the line with 5+ DL or stack the box with 8 guys. every team will do this until jimmy plays better consistently

We all keep talking about how MM knows our squad but it ain't like we don't know his offense either. I will take my coaches over theirs and more importantly I will take our players and our home field advantage over theirs as well. This is gonna be a tall task for MIA coming to SF trying to get a win over us. We ain't letting that happen!

QBs that run as part of their game will eventually get hurt. A pocket passer has to be able to slide in the pocket. Tom Brady does this best and avoids any hard hits. Brady also has a sixth sense when the pressure is about to get to him without seeing it directly. Jimmy G has advanced this season where he doesn't have that deer in the headlights look when the play breaks down. He stands tall in the pocket and is more aware of what is happening around him. The OL has held up well and having a Hall of Famer at left tackle makes everyone's job easier.

I think you can say that all QBs will eventually get hurt. I can't think of one that stayed healthy his entire career no matter if he was a pocket passer or scrambler. I've seen serious injuries happen while in the pocket, outside the pocket or running downfield.
Welp.
Cover 0 blitz all game.
