3rd and pass, is there a worse OL to lean on? Sad.

This maybe something minor, something the QB's don't mind, has anyone other than me noticed the shot gun snaps to be low at times, possibly throwing the QB's rhythm off, started noticing it during the AZ game and it was evident again yesterday, again, it could be something the QB's don't mind

Lost TWO starting QBs with a handful of games to go. Running game is still suspect against winning teams. Protection calls were really an issue. Way too many free rushers. QBs barely had time to throw screens!

Banks, Brendel and McG were exposed consistently.

Mason averaged 6.4 YPC against the 10th ranked run defense yesterday. Deebo, Mitchell, Wilson and Mason are all averaging over 5 YPC for the season. The outlier is really CMC at 4.1 YPC and he is averaging more carries per game than anyone else on the team since we acquired him.

The 49ers have shifted away from being predominantly outside zone because defenses are doing things to stop it. But it's on these outside zone plays that really allow a RB to use his vision since a running lane can emerge anywhere.

CMC's big 30 yard run to seal the game was outside zone. The times he was stuffed and looked bad were on the between the tackle runs. CMC can do it all but I think he excels when he has time to find a lane.

I don't disagree with you but it seems like Kyle just keeps trying to beat a dead horse at this point. If you want to pound the ball up the middle, stop giving it to CMC and start giving Mason more carries. I felt the same way with Mitchell before he got injured again. I like CMC for what he brings to the passing game but for whatever reason, he has been subpar between the tackles. And you cannot blame it on the O line when every other RB has found success there.

They were unprepared for the Cover Zero blitzes yesterday. That falls on the OL coach.

Forester also happens to be the run game coordinator and the run game does not look as good as it was in previous years.

NFL players are prepared for anything. They have seen everything more times than we have.
I dont think they were terrible.
At times Brock had a cleaner pocket than i have seen all year.

that said i havent liked this Oline all year.

This may be a stupid response, but I played center on a successful flag football team. I got yelled at for high or low snaps. I did them rarely, but the QB did not like it.

I feel like it's gotta be time to give Mckivits some playing time at RT. MM has killed our run and pass game in crucial moments.

For the season... against lesser opponents, not against - as you say the 10th ranked run D. Only Mason was somewhat successful and averages do not show full context of keeping drives alive or more importantly, what killed drives?

Unblocked defenders either stopping the runner. players being beat at the snap, McG being pushed back into the backfield, OR coming free at the passer. Why must there always be spin to defend? How much more evidence is needed? A third injured QB? We're really going to pretend the OL is doing a great job against a winning opponent? We saw the same against KC.

No, keep believing in the 6.4 YPC. My bad. The running game was incredible yesterday. So much so that Jimmy just needed to hand off on 3rd down.

Did you not watch the game? Mason had several solid runs against the 10th ranked run defense yesterday and yes averaged 6.4 YPC. The only issue is he only got 8 carries. Where as CMC had 17 carries and only averaged 3.9 YPC.

Against NO- Mitchell 5.0 YPC
Mason 5.0 YPC
CMC 2.9 YPC

Against ARI- Mitchell 6.6 YPC
CMC 5.6 YPC

Against LAC- Mitchell 4.9 YPC
CMC 2.7 YPC

Should I keep going?

Against the same defenses he has averaged less than the other RB's. So it doesn't matter how good the defense was or wasn't against the run. He still showed to be not as affective running the ball. I would even add in that Mason averaged 5.0 YPC against a defense at the end of the game that knew we were running it in order to close out the game and still found a lot of success.

He's got an OL is a mess narrative to push. He will never admit he was wrong. So we gotta pretend "Against good teams they are terrible"

Brendel shouldn't be the center next year and McGlinchey isn't good enough. Banks and Brendel are up and down. Even with that this is still a top 10-12 OL in the league.

If our QB just goes down we aren't having this conversation. No different than if he had just run out of bounds in 2018. He takes unnecessary risks. This is who he is.

As far as our point Yac, Kyle just does what so many coaches do, make the young guys earn it too much. He needs to adjust more quickly to what he's seeing. I would agree we need more Mason (and TDP for that matter) inside. Hope he will adjust going forward.

Yes. And especially with goal to go inside the 5.
