You've said countless times that we over-emphasize our defensive line. How can you compliment other teams for doing the same, then?

Doesn't seem to add up.

DTs are a dime a dozen until the Eagles use back to back top 15 picks on em.

Gotta love the nonstop hypocrisy

Yup, let one go, draft another...add another ER. We did the same, bought a 3T, drafted ER's. Also, I'm always referring to DT's who aren't strong in pass rush when I say that given the size of the pool. Although there seems to be quite a pool of ER's available annually as well now too with the overdrafting of these positions. Given we're the #1 defense with or without Buckner, AA, Kinlaw, Givens, DJ Jones, etc. and a million others plus the annual influx of former 1st-3rd round B-list ER's, it's safe to say there is no shortage in the pool.

A-list DT's who can pass rush like, Hargrave? That's a whole other story. No #10a12 there.

If you need to go cheaper from a team building perspective, DL is the way to go. B-listers + Kocurek still gets you a #1 defense overall esp. in a league that doesn't run anymore.

It was a top 5-10 pass blocking line last year via the metrics depending where you looked. Nothing to die on. I expect a FA added to the mix and something similar this year.

I was expecting them to add a OT or two. Kinda bummed out given the guys there. I don't think our OL stinks or whatever.

I'm not. No one really intrigued me very much. I would've thought they'd would've taken another developmental tackle late but didn't like them apparently.

Our OL doesn't suck by any means. It's just going to get punked in the playoffs unless something magical happens. And it could...just playing the odds on the current talent level and who we're likely to face.

This could still happen. Cuts/FA.

But a guy picked at 99 would prevent that?

I suspect a Free AGent, because 49ers are (I think) 10 million under the cap. I think that's way too much to sign their rookie draft picks.
I guess we're just going to have to look for undrafted free agents to add some depth on the O line. I hope we can find some good ones.

At 99 (or 87), there were only a handful of T's and IOL taken. Adding to a talent pool can never hurt (see also, DL, LB, S, WR, etc.).

Bosa extension will also add to their cap space.

Kyle does prefer veterans esp. ones that know his system, although, this seems to be more Foerster now. Maybe he's honed in on someone. Like Brendel said, this is a very specific system here now.

None of the 3 qb Inuries last year were primarily the fault of the o line.

And this fact continues to be ignored, yet nothing is said about Mahommes, who got hurt. And if anyone wants to bring up Jimmy's injury history, Jimmy got hurt in New England too after two starts. Are we blaming our O-line for that too?

15 is a little more than a handful last I checked bud.

Given there's 400 OL, yeah, not that deep into the pool. LOL. It certainly didn't stop the other teams from adding.
