Stats show that it isn't though.

Secondary is the weakest unit until proven otherwise.

Secondary will be fine. Last year, Huf played extremely well and so did C Ward. We add our top pick in the draft Brown. Also I note that Wilks is presumably a defensive backs specialist, that's his wheelhouse. DBs look like a strength to me.

Yea that's a pretty crappy homer article on the oline.

Weakest unit is QB. I think the OL is very strong, unless Trent falls off the proverbial cliff. If he's good, we are good.

QB is a given.

What are your top 3 unit weaknesses on the team?

Fair. I'll trust you here as I don't have the advanced stats of the secondary from last year.

good question

QB
can I count PK?
OL

I don't feel OL is a weakness yet in this exercise, it is weaker than the rest of our units, imo

PK is a weakness, until we see Moody is a consistent NFL kicker. I feel even with Robbie, this is a weakness, as you don't really want a 40+ y/o kicker. I would rather have Moody than Robbie.

It's a loaded squad.

Not in coverage Huf didn't. Ward was our only quality cover man. Way too many big plays were given up.

I'm assuming you're talking regular season? Because in the playoffs, IIRC, the secondary was pretty damn good esp. against Dallas. No?

He was first team all pro for a reason, played great, shows great versatility to play all over the field, can run stuff, blitz, tackles for loss, ball skills, and just look at how he communicates out there and how he leads. Very special player, and now Wilks who was a DB, gets to work with him, it's pretty exciting stuff. Yet I am off topic

A lot of that is true. But he also blew a bunch of coverages and showed questionable tackling. He's a pro bowl caliber player in my eyes but he was overrated last year. Still a lot of work.

Gipson and Brown are still ?s as well. As is Demo. Only really confident in Ward and Oliver in coverage at moment.

Im far more confident in 4 of the 5 o lineman.

Had more to do with Dak then the coverage IMO. Dak had holes to throw into that he flat out missed. Seattle hit the secondary for a few too many plays.

I don't think one game tells the story for a unit good or bad.

Sure, why not.

I was just curious. Appreciate the response.

Yes they don't suck they just have to be better to win number 6. The article was a Homer read. Didn't really make me feel they were going to be better 😕
I do believe CB is the weakest group. I just don't have much faith in anybody outside of Ward
Until we see it in action the line is a question mark and worries me. I think center is average at best and right tackle is a mystery.
