There are only 3 CB positions. Ward and Oliver graded out as 2 of the best at their respective positions. We only have 1 guy on the OL who's done that. It is fair to question Lenoir/Luter though. It would have been nice if they locked up another high end CB.

I think there are some question marks on the secondary but with an even better D line they should be fine. The O line is where the trouble is for getting number 6. The only real test for this team is when they go against great D lines. We will see when the bullets fly but the secondary should be OK.

Because it's football, watch the QB, OL and secondary excel through the playoffs and something stupid like ST will be the fail of us. LOL

I'll take a year where the qb excels.

Seriously or the O coordinator calls 3 corner flag patterns to a sub par WR 3 times in a row and then the next year in the NFCC game. Lol oh the pain these years have brought us

Oh man, that hurts!

What an epic fail. First JH calls TO which negated his own TD run and then Crabtree. Crabtree was speared in the face illegally and admitted later he was seeing stars. He probably was the last person to go too at that point. It reminded me of Jimmy getting speared in the face (no call again) and Kyle going to him deep to Sanders (8 weeks with the team). Pass to the middle one. SMH.

Kap could have ran it in easily without that time out. Or Harbs, remember Gore with the Ravens best run stopper injured. That was number 6 for sure. Yes that long pass to Sanders overthrow is still killing me. I feel like the last 10 mins of that game was a fuzzy memory like when a tragedy hits. 😔 OK time to get over it for me and let's finally get it this year.

Haha. Facts all around. Soooooo frustrating!

Let's go 2023!

This was last year. Only 1 49er (Trent Williams) on the list of best OL and 1 ex-49er (Trent Brown).

It'll be cool to see if any of the interior 49ers make the list this year!

So we grading one-by-one now?

What happened to the "Unit Pass Protection" thing? It's been pitched here over and over again, and they were able to grade out Top 5 as a "Unit."

I mean now that we've accomplished such, are we just going to go away from the importance of Unit Pass Protection for good and grade individually, or.....??

Agree.

The stuff ulcers are made of.

Back to my only serious fear for this year, O line. I am watching the Cowboy's playoff game and we are 17 unless McKivitz can improve over MM from last year. The o line did pretty good in the 2nd 1/2 but the first it was bad.. 17 until they prove better.

True. At least this time we know there's potential higher talent (Banks, Burford). We'll see with McKivitz (suspect, IMHO). But in the past, we had dudes like Compton, Brunskill, Garland, Person, Brendel, etc. starting playoff games. You're not winning a Superbowl with that limited talent.

I wonder with the lowest ranking an O line has on a Superbowl winner. I doubt it's lower than 10. Watching the Cowboy's game Brock was being harassed the whole first half. The second half the O line was great with the run however only mediocre on passing plays. The D carried us that game. I just can't figure out why the org did not prioritize this issue.
