Supposedly this year tier 1 is PHI and DET…but then there are like 3-5 different points throughout the season that they must be evaluated on. But from what can gather if the team does/doesn't win the SB that's the only real barometer . It's all very confusing

Did NC post Det as tier 1 ?

That would mean they would be a final NFC 4 in the post season, would NC bet a Det NFCCG appearance ?

PS: You need both.

Cincy was one play away from not needing both.

Burrows is Elite and Cincy had a good oline. I'm not understanding?

The only QB that can make a good O line great is Patrick mahomes.

As well NC is right you need both. Being back into the O line thread...We will win it all of we have a top 5 line this year. If we don't we won't. I feel better about McKivitz after preseason however we shall see how our O line performs against Pittsburgh and their D line with TJ Watt.

I'm a Niners fan so hope we do well.

Brock still would have to play tier 1 as well. And yes, there's always the outside chance that when this OL is reevaluated at mid season, we could have moved up into tier 1 (like they have our DLB ranked now).

Yes he would and looked good in preseason. It's the unknown on our O line, that's how far we can go. If they move up to a top 5 O line we will probably get number 6 baring injuries. Yes Rock it Brock....

It's exciting. We're so close!

I know I want it this year..Jones'n big time for this.

Looooooooong overdue!

What you need to win regarding the OL changes.

There was the theme that the "Top" OLine is what is needed to win it all.

Now you are emphasizing "Tier 1" OL's,...suggesting this is all that's needed.

And of course,....we cant go and verify what sources consider who Tier 1 vs. Tier 2,...because you make it all up on the fly in your head. The bait and switching is a little extreme, no?

2. Sometimes 3. For instance, only 2 are in the OL tier 1 this year. 3 on defense (including SF). Sometimes just 1.

Last year it was 2 OL: Eagles and Chiefs in tier 1. Chiefs got no lower than 3.

True. That's also why he's never won one.

Credit to their FO. They did try though IIRC. But it certainly has not reached tier 1.

Yeah the line was really bad back during their Super Bowl run. It probably was the reason they didn't win. They went out and signed the top available FA at OT the last two years and are hoping it meshes this year.
Burrow is so good though. It's Mahomes then Burrow then everybody else for me. He is so lethal from the pocket.

I couldn't agree more. Those 2 are just special. The ability to keep an eye low and feel pressure WHILE keeping an eye down field on the move. It's just special.

I've referenced Brandon Thorn for years in here. LOL

They got created because the goalposts had no more room on the field to move. Had to build up.

Like you, and others said, injuries can put a monkey wrench in any formula. But I like our chances this year. I thiink we only have 4-ish games on AstroTurf. Gap/Power to the left and zone run to the right, and you have the TE's give chip block help to McKivitz on pass pro - Brock should be able to stay upright a big part of the season with that kind combo.

This year to 'start.'

Tier 1:
Eagles and Lions for OL
Cowboys, 9ers and Steelers for DL

All will be reevaluated mid season and again going into the playoffs.

That's great...didn't know that.

And "To End" is whichever 2 teams end up in the Superbowl,... Correct?
