Pressure always helps. As does elite qb play. But elite qb play can't make a receiver catch the ball

14 points from the offense, 7 of which comes after a fake punt, ain't special.

When you have a narrative this ends up being the takeaway.

Lions defense won them the game.

Lions D did a great job harassing PM, but the chefs receivers lost that game, plain and simple. On a side note, Goff played a good game, but if I were to compare him to Purdy, it's so easy to see that Purdy definitely has that "IT" factor and Goff does not.

Yea this always-evolving equation is basic algebra now. But by midseason you might need a Math degree to understand it.
this is something bigger than math

Lol yeah it's called ego

When the OLine isn't blocking for the run game well, you have Pat playing behind schedule and having to run a lot. Just one of those games where the OLine of KC as well as the WR's didn't play as well as the other team. Oh Well. I hope we outscore them if we meet them in the Playoffs this season.

It sure would be nice if we could beat the Chiefs someday. Behind that OL, I like our chances. And great point about the run blocking too. #Tier1OL

I'm trying to understand what PM can and can not transcend.

He can't transcend the Lions defense
He can't transcend a non-tier 1 OL
He can't transcend a WR dropping a pass
He cant transcend a pick-6
He can't transcend 1 point

Man, I'm starting to think the only thing PM can transcend is turning 49er fans into closet Chiefs fans.

We're a better run team, I think vs KC or the Steelers. Everybody harps on Kyle's genius in having the QB's first read be always pretty much open. Well that can happen if you have a very good run game that the defense has to honor or be gashed for a long gain or TD. Those play fakes have to be convincing and the OLinemen have to do a credible job in selling the run to the defense. I don't think Kyle gets enough credit for being a great OLine acting coach. He should win an oscar for being a great acting coach.

P.S. you were right, KC misses Orlando. Donovan apparently had a holding call on that last KC failed drive.

The OLine is always overlooked. Sad to say. It's the foundation of an offense. Run and Pass. The QB is the head, but the OLine is the neck that allows the head to turn, so to speak.

You get it. There's only 5 left. Even NY abandoned the old crusade in here. I miss him (in here).

BS,we were a top 5 OL. overlooked OLs don't make it to back to back championships

NY tired of the BS "you need the #1 OL to win" which you have now changed to many different things

i think we all would give jimmy a pass if he had won two ships

technically Jimmy has won two ships.

Heh, not just any tackle - it's Pat's blind side left tackle.

He may have confidence issues with his new left tackle. Purdy won't have that with Trent, unless, of course - he's out of the lineup because of ding. For a big guy, Trent moves like a Tight End.
