No one is trading us a quality RT lol. You can get quality at other spots, but not tackle in season. There aren't 64 starting caliber tackles in the league. Nobody is going to trade one, without there being some major issue.

OL is also the hardest position to just jump right in and do well. You need that chemistry/practice time to gel. People need to get used to the fact that whoever's on this roster this year will be playing T for us.

That's a great point. I'll also add that week #1 is hell for the OL, Watt is a tough assignment, but murder in week #1. This will likely be a lingering issue throughout the season, but I'm hopeful that it won't be the acute issue that it was today.

At any rate, this team doesn't value the O-line in quite the same way that most folks do. They kinda remind me of that guy that buys a 100k car, dumps another 15k into engine, brake, and suspension mods then drives around on bald Walmart tires.

Grousing aside, I'll concede that it somehow works. Having learned from prior seasons, I'll shut up and just wait for the magic to happen again.

I hope.

Nearly 400 yards and 30 points suggest something is working.
Silverback thread seems to have been shelved.

Any update on the injury he suffered?

Agree on how ShanaLynch seems to deprioritize the OLIne, in Kyle's defense the OLinemen have a lot on their plate in this offense. They have to zone block, gap block, and all the other stuff - together - and a rookie from a college program is going to take time to get integrated into the O Line squad. It's a complicated run game with all the bubble screens and jet sweeps.

Having said that, I'm also disappointed they don't infuse the OLIne with the kind of offensive line talent that really does justice to Kylye's beautiful run schemes. My hope is that they get somehow a great player on the OLine, as they got one like CMC last year. I agree that's a slim possibility - but it's still a hope for me.

Bob McKitrick made due with 7th round picks ( but chop blocks were legal).

So with with extra cap space are there any great RTs we can snag?

Exactly!

Next year possibly. Too little too late, at this juncture.

🤣🤣
I hope this was the worst game of the season for the oline, especially RT. Good test today, hope we get better every week
they definitely will test the right side next week with donald.

No lies were detected.

I didn't see the game yet but it sounds like McKivitz was McKivitz and Burford had a few untimely penalties? Is TW OK?

Overall, it sounds like the line held up enough against a very good opponent? But there are some concerns.

Nearly 400 yards and 30 points. I'll take that as enough.

Could have 3 yards in a half like Seattle did.

Oh no doubt, the end results look amazing. But this is the OL thread. Any concerns going forward? Or is it manageable? Nothing that could be exploited going forward that could affect the end result?
