I agree, but only to a certain extent. Maybe Watt is the only guy in the league that can make him look foolish, and I hope to hell that's true. Very little chance we face him in the Super Bowl. What I'm saying is this team is so loaded they only have 2 possible weaknesses. The secondary would be the other, but they looked decent today and can be masked by the pass rush. If McKivitz is truly as bad as he looked today, I'd rather not wait until Darnold is the starter to address it.
A better qb takes advantage of the secondary today.
No doubt McKivitz must improve. I just want to see how much it was facing the dpoy week 1. Got months to get better. It's also entirely possible that he will be like MM and we just have to try and maneuver around him.

Are there any viable RT / swing T available in FA or via trade? Seems like that's our one weakness.
And I don't think we immediately pull the trigger, but that seems to be the place we keep an eye out.

Oh no doubt, the end results look amazing. But this is the OL thread. Any concerns going forward? Or is it manageable? Nothing that could be exploited going forward that could affect the end result?
Have to see if it's McKivitz or Watt. Next week will be a better barometer.
Well, unless Watt averages 3 sacks/game you have your answer. Judging him against inferior edge rushers will only give a false sense of security, since the team won't face inferior ERs in the playoffs.
You judge him over a body of work. Not a game. Dan Brunskill could stop Aaron Donald for a single game, but that didn't make him an All Pro guard. We'll know more in a few weeks.

They gonna have to trade for a RT
No one is trading us a quality RT lol. You can get quality at other spots, but not tackle in season. There aren't 64 starting caliber tackles in the league. Nobody is going to trade one, without there being some major issue.

Tired of Kyle's moneyball b******t approach when it comes to the OL. You let McGlinchey walk and your only response is to promote a guy that is a human turnstile to starter.

They don't get traded.
Unfortunately your right we would have to get lucky on that one. Hope we do find one though.
We got lucky on an undrafted guy that showed massive potential at LT, potential RT but cut him to keep Zakejl
I know he's on the cardinals

Is rheir season over @ the halfway mark?
Are they simply trying to get compensation for a guy that they know they arent going to be able to resign the following year?

Too little too late, IMHO. We would have needed to address that in the off season and give the player months to learn the intricate system here. We ride or die with McKivitzGlinchey.

Worst case scenario, we have Alfredo Gutierez.
McKivitz didn't stink up the joint the way McGlinchy did sometimes. I still remember that whiff against the raiders where McGlinchy was bench pressed into the air by the Raider defensive end. 49ers are running - I think - predominantly to the left behind Trent and Banks, and are booting right to pass. At least that's how I'm feeling how this offense operated against the Steelers. 49ers had good success running and passing this last Sunday against (I think) what is going to be a very good Steeler team this year.
McKivitz's name was called only when the game was already out of hand for the Raiders, and I feel that McKivitz mentally relaxed a bit in the second half, rather than got physically beat.

Ilm Manning is on the Cardinals' 53.
