Last season we scored 20 rushing TD's. After 4 games so far this season we already have 9. Our run game has been lethal. Especially in the redzone. Our run blocking has looked top notch.

No arguments here. The RB has been stellar for sure.

I remember once that the only running threat we had was Mitchell, now we have Mason and CMC!

If the right side of the OLine can just give these guys a nice consistent crease to run-through- this team will be ambidextrous in the run game instead of being left handed so much.

P.s. I like how Kyle is pulling big Trent to lead block to the right, in what looks like the counter-trey. I've been advocating that play since we got Big Trent, and now I can see them using it as counter to all the left side zone runs.

I saw them pull Trent and Banks to the right side on the same run play this past week.

What makes the play interesting is that it looks like a zone run to the left, but it's not, and the DE and the LB's get walled off by Big Trent and Banks - pulling to the right. I think it's an ideal counter to the left side zone runs. Very tough to stop, in my opinion, because of the combination of the zone runs and man blocking.

I think Kyle needs as much brain power as athletic power to run his offensive line system because the blocking is so complicated and varied. Trent Williams is known as much for his brains as his brawn.

Trent will lift up Burford with his left hand and McKivitz with with his right 8' off the floor each. He will tell them to pick it up because he's F'in tired of running across the damn field to block

It's funny. C.McKivitz, O.Brown and M.McGlinchey all have PFF grades in the 50's. LOL

Brown will get Joe Burrow severely hurt at this rate.

He will. Burrow can only do so much (and he's a stud).
McKivitz doesnt do well against speed rushers imo, hope #11 dont smoke his ass this game

I think that's true of any offensive tackle. Speed is hard to match up with as an OT, and what you have to do is have those long arms and position yourself (along with your guard) to give time for the QB to throw. That stunt inside by Gardeck where McKivitz gave up the sack, I think, could have been handled better by Burford. I think, if Burford was more alert to Gardeck's inside 360 move, Burford would have been able to chip block Gardeck and enable to Purdy to get off the quick pass. I don't blame that sack all 💯% on McKivitz, but there is some part where there was a miscommunication between the two and so Burford gets a ding in my book for that McKivitz sack.

Manning is back!

The San Francisco 49ers announced they have signed OL Ilm Manning and RB Jeremy McNichols to the team's practice squad and released FB Jack Colletto and DL Marlon Davidson.
Manning (6-2, 294) originally entered the NFL in 2023 after signing with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2023. He was waived by the team on August 29, 2023 and claimed by the Arizona Cardinals the following day. After being inactive in each of the team's first four games, Manning was waived by Arizona on October 2, 2023.

As you should. He went from the weakest link to our 3rd ranking worry (if that) behind Burford and Brendel.

Brendel is a good one

He is but he's had some struggles to start the year for sure especially in his strength area (pass protection).

After the first 1/4 of the season last year, Brendel was ranked in the mid-20s of Centers. As the season went along, he moved up to #17.

Right now, he is #28, with an overall grade slightly below last season. His PB rating is 41, which is awful. Definite improvement is needed there.
