Like I always say, esp. with regards to the OL, the genius in PFF is there is a stat for everyone's narrative.

It's better to rely on the SME's.

Or watch for yourself and make up your own mind.

Are you a SME in OL/DL analysis? Who knew!?!

Maybe you can define what "good enough" means in layman's terms for us all.

You posted another site in the offseason that rates OLine which made more sense. I stopped paying too much attention to PFF after Warner had an amazing game and was rated at 40%. I think it was following the steelers game, can't remember.

Grades and rankings are for lazy people that don't want to do the work but still want to seem like they know what they are talking about.

Not by SME's when that's ALL they cover. But yes, ESPN, etc. no doubt.

PFF is the very definition of lazy (for fans).

Yes and no people who do not look at stats have only opinion and not critical thinking. Stats do not tell the whole story however. As mentioned, Warner with a 40 point ranking after a game he played great and he was key in a win.

Who cares what his ranking was? Fred has not played all that well this season. He has 3-4 dropped INT's and has the 3rd highest missed tackles by a linebacker this season. The guy better flip a switch tonight.

So where do all our guys rank in Thorns rankings right now after a 1/4 of season? Be specific

As opposed to parroting other opinions to try and sound smart because I can't formulate my own?

His Ranking after the Steelers game. I would take him all day long, he may not be having his best year but still way better than what others have for a MLB.

I don't parrot anything. I give you the info. You choose to ignore it...annually...no matter how many times it bites you in the ass.

Significantly higher than PFF. That's for sure.

Trent Williams and Aaron Banks made it at least.

Why do you get so bent out of shape over a ranking? We all know how good Fred Warner is. But he didn't have a good game against the steelers. He had 2 missed tackles and allowed 6 catches on 8 targets at a rate of 11.3 yards per reception. Now, can we get back on track since this is the o line thread?

I'm not bent just a point of not trusting stats alone. That Stats and seeing what a player did or did not do. Warner had a bad PFF ranking after the steelers game however watching his play was much better than just the game stats. No issue with the point of Warner not having his best season so far in 2023. I agree he needs to have a great game tonight, we need him at his best.

Well that is funny. His stats reflect exactly what I have watched of him with my own two eyes. So not only do I have my opinion based on what I have observed, I also have varifiable data to back up my opinion.
