Gee what a surprise

Its like Pat Mahomes gets mediocre OTs paid or something

I just wonder how they even come up with these kinds of stats.

It would just be a hell of a lot easier to look at PFF's pressure responsibility distribution chart that I was posting in here last week.

I wish I was more confident in the PFF staff's judgement though. Those are credible stats, but I take any statistic with a grain of salt anyway.

Their grading system definitely sucks and after watching that video posted earlier today in the Brock thread, they seem to be a bit bias too. But until that guy on twitter creates a site that has stats available up to date 24/7, you can't really rely on him either. I like statistics because I can use them to verify what I see with my eyes which make them a great tool for debating online.

Then why wish you were more confident?

And whatel would being more confident possibly change anyway?

The games are all televised.

Agree about statistics. Mark Twain said - there are *Lies, Damned Lies, and Statistics.* 49ers use a ton of statistics too, and they got Jordan Mason because of their Stat guys finding his numbers and getting him as an undrafted player. So stats are definitely VERY important. But it's (as you said) hard to parse out what you are seeing stat wise, with what the film says about the player and the team. It's good to look at Both, as you said previously. Otherwise, you don't have a complete picture of what is really gone on.

I don't keep up with all the new acronyms or slang terms. I'm just not that hip. If NC stated what the acronym stood for, I currently have him on mute so I wouldn't be able to see it.

Lol. It stand for subject matter expert, but he's very particular on who he actually considers a true SME. Must align with him since he's the real SME

Sounds about NC

Thoughts?

I thought McKivitz nearly got beat on that play. Brock got off the pass, but McKivitz did enough to give Brock the time he needed. McKivitz got thrown off at the top of 90's pass rush. Holy smokes #90 (just looked it up) was Demarcus Lawrence. wow. McKivitz did a lot better than I credit him for.
i wonder what are the thoughts from NC.. since 2020 it's we don't care about OL, have the worse OL, don't invest in OL, don't have OL plans, need a #1 OL, need #1 talent OL at every position, need Tier 1 OL , need Tiers x + Tier x, lets see how we do this sunday.. i heard it all.. and now his favorite SME is drooling over us.. i wonder what NC thinks now

Well, if you could read, you'd see I think they've played really well and climbing the ladder towards a tier 1 OL esp. in run blocking (already there). They still need some more fine tuning in the pass protection game but still above average (even though PFF and ESPN disagrees and has them much lower). And PFF's peer rankings are brutal for this group.

Do you have any thoughts?
moving up to tier 1, thats impossible in your eyes unless BT tells you to follow

my thoughts are the same as before the 2022 season, "we will finish towards the top OL after one year and battle for being the top OL this year"

Appreciate your thoughts!

Why not? Jimmy Garoppolo got Mike McGlinchey paid.

Wait...LOL

dont need BT to know with a different QB in 19, 21 we win two Ships

Clearly a guy who will likely lead the NFL in ints this season wasn't the issue. Was the O line.

Oh no, he was an issue too. No doubt. You've spent too much time in the Jimmy Garoppolo thread...you're still in there now.

you weren't saying he was an issue then, and its why you're in this mess lol

Yes I did. I said, IF you're going to have a classic drop back QB like Jimmy, you better get him the best OL you can. Otherwise, f*getaboutit.

And that's exactly what happened.

that is not saying he is an issue and you denied all the evidence that he did have time to throw

I knew Mac Jones wasn't the problem.

Or you get an elite drop back passer who can make a play or two with his legs.
