Well technically you've got it all backwards with how this team was built. The run sets up the pass here and the pass rush sets up the secondary.
If you were expecting the pass to set up the run and the secondary to set up the pass rush, no wonder why you pivot to the QB to transcend both.
I expect the qb and secondary to do their jobs, not be completely carried by the other units.
If a QB has time in the pocket and receivers open I expect him to hit them no matter how the run game is doing. That isn't transcending anything. Thats doing your job.
Similarly if the pass rush is leading the league in quickest time to throw numbers I expect the secondary to at least be passable in coverage. That isn't setting up the pass rush, that's doing your job.
