My thoughts are put Purdy behind that Eagles line. He would shred. Hurts isn't reading fast if at all. And I know his left knee is banged up so he is not using his mobility nearly as much this year.

Another perspective is they are still a playoff team because they have a phenomenal o line that keeps them in most games.

I feel exactly the same way esp. about Hurts especially.

Tru dat.

Well yah. Can't have a bad OL. No one is suggesting otherwise.

D line has something to do with it too.

Though honestly if KC, Dallas and Buffalo hadn't beaten themselves Philly wouldn't be a playoff team. One thing to win close it's another to win because of other teams drops and mistakes.
So it's settled, the best OL doesn't matter or transcend the QB

PHIs O is top 10, their D is 29th.

Shows you need more on D than just the trenches.

Which is why IMHO, Wilkes has done a good job with a patch work backfield. The D line not so much.

Only you and 9ers4eva would interpret the overall discussion that way. Truly idiotic...as he'd say.

Give us the Eagles Oline and we would be unstoppable.

Shows how overrated Hurts is by playing behind that oline.

That'd be 5 starters.

What 5 starters at different positions would u give them to keep things even?

Give them our 4 starters on our OL.

Huh? No one suggested Philly would do great with our OL, and you're completely missing the point.

Using this kinda logic you're suggesting though, why don't we just say "hey,...f**k the salary cap, let's just collect all the Pro Bowlers from across the league and talk about how great we'd be with them!!"

Like...huh? No?

The OP wants to suggest we'd be all-world with Philly's OL. That's 5 guys.

Fine,if it's established that their OL is better...pick 5 from other positions - any positions - to give to Philly.

Philly fills their holes with backups and their practice squad, and we do the same.

I'd love to see someone do this,...then let's see and discuss whether these nonsensical "IF" projections still hold true.

Otherwise,...accept the reality that you can't pick and choose the best players from across the league and call it a team. Maybe in video games, sure? But in reality, every team has pluses and minuses.

Too bad nobody wants to talk our DL. It's been pretty underwhelming this year esp. regarding ROI.

I still have high hopes for him. What I like the most about him is he's such a student of the game. Mentally/technique I have no doubt he will get better. What he needs to keep improving on though is his strength. I expect a nice breakout year from him next season.

But just in case I really hope we keep Feliciano. He's also turning 32 next month so I don't expect a team out there to throw good money at him.

Would like to get him back on a 3 year 15 mil w/incentives. This will also protect us if we can't resign Banks next year.

Burford needs to spend the off season changing his body. He is too flabby. Banks did the same thing and it has worked for him.
wtf going on in here. Purdy is on the Eagles in this thread? I'm out

Man you write too much sometimes, it's hard to have a convo with that much going on… I'm not gonna reply to every single thing you just said.

you act like SF couldn't afford what Philly is currently spending. I totally disagree with that.

I mean you're talking about cap space…and we're looking at it this yr. Swap AA/Juice/Colton/brendel for Johnson and Kelce. They drafted a bunch of IOL who are dirt cheap too.

I never said I wanted all 5. Personally I value OT/C vs IOL.
