I think the D has been better than the first half of the year too, where I had legitimate worries. My only hesitation is we haven't played many very good offenses. We may not all the way through the SB though.

We still have issues tackling. Not sure what that's all about.

The Wide 9 didn't stop us from being a top tier run D last year. The only real weakness was our ability to stop short yardage runs. My guess- Bosa was in peak form last year and Ebukam +Omenihu were superior against the run compared to Young + Gregory + Ferrell as well as the missed tackles are higher.

I just did the caculations we allow the 12th most in YAC by yards but if you take into account YAC/completed pass we are the 6th lowest

According to whatever stat house you happened to look up, you'll note the numbers change, depends on who's keeping track. What a missed tackle even is, isn't cut and dry.

FA, Cushenberry would be ideal, but he will probably command a ton of $. Maybe get a bargain signing with Connor Williams due to the recent knee injury. Can play C and G and is familiar with the system.
