I'm not the only one saying that.

A second factor is that the Niners are a decidedly left-handed team running the ball. The foundational concept of Shanahan's scheme is unpredictability. An investment in the right side of the line would restore balance to the force, they could run left or right with equal success.

Jake Brendal Pro Bowl. Come on man. No way. The middle and right side is very suspect. No way I believe he is a Pro Bowl player. He's getting a lot of 49ers fans votes and people who think they 49ers are good. I'm fine with those things. Just think he isn't a Pro Bowl level player. That's a big reach IMO.

When you win guys get more credit than they actual deserve. Hufanga was an example last year.

Agreed.

Tier 2 OL.

Brock a product of elite offensive line - confirmed

That's BS. Our line is sub par. Other than Trent Williams and Aaron Banks. They are giving Nick WRONG ammo based on false narratives.

Agree on the OLine playing sub par - specially against the Ravens. Having said that, I think Feliciano brings up the play of Brendel and McKivitz. I think it's Burford that kind of makes both Brendel and McKivitz regress. So yes - when Burford is in there - I tend to feel that both Brendel and Mckivitz tend to have more mental errors than is normal for a - so called - pro bowl level player.

I agree with this take, with Burford they have to almost be perfect and cover that weakness. I think Brendel is not horrible and with a good right tackle he would be looked at, maybe as a pro bowler. McKivitz has played better as the season progressed and needs to get better with time. IMHO he is not playing at a pro bowl level yet. If he improves and does well in the playoffs, then yes he would be a pro bowl level player. I'm glad they are all looked at favorable and hope it improves their confidence for the playoffs.

Is this a green light for everyone? Because...

Given that only your minions seem to go for it here, trying to sell everyone on this Tier thing mattering is pretty idiotic.

It's a played out theme no one is falling for.

Agree, and Banks also. He's played very good on that side too. I'd say he's close to pro bowl level (yes he was pro bowl alternate) but I think he's played just a step below any Pro bowl level. Brendel is a very good center for what this system asks of him, and he's not asked to do what Kelce of the Ravens center does for their team.

Agree with both, 49ers aren't an elite offensive line group like some of the legendary offensive lines of old, but they are plenty good. (Not great). McKivitz continued development in the playoffs and Trent's health is going to be key for a successful playoff season. Banks and Brendel can stay at the same level, but Burford has to improve. Feliciano is key here to plug in for Burford as depth in a playoff run. I'd love for the OLIne to continue to get better. They can, if they just stay healthy.

We do also run to the right, not as much but it's not 100%

but what is sub par?

I can post a one-liner right now and you'd twist it 5 minutes later. The whole week you were out we all had civil conversations in here.

Your troll s**t needs to stop now.

Yeah, the only concern is the pass protection when we/if we get off script. That's when the below average ability shows as we've seen.

We certainly run better to the right with Feliciano. But if a team can stuff the runs to the left, that too can expose some weaknesses (ripple effect).

That said, very few teams have got us off script and even in all of them, we still had a chance to win if not for the self-inflicted TO's and missed FG's.

With no teams in tier 1 for both QB & OL, we have as legit a shot as any team esp. upon rematch.

This should be our year! No excuses as this is the healthiest we've been the entire ShanaLynch regime AND have a first round bye!

Not only "should" it be our year,...but it HAS been our year. We're the #1 seed and we've torched teams all year.

But This is no guarantee though that the ball will certainly bounce our way all the way through until a SB victory. It's not a video game, so we're not matching up against ourselves. Brock had a freak injury last year or else we may already have a 6th right now. Excuse? Reason? Call it what you want.

We may have to match up to a team like the Ravens that certainly looked like a better team when we played them. If they beat us a 2nd time -- again -- excuse or reason?

Tough-guy talk on message boards don't win games against NFL competition in real life. I think it does a disservice to the guys out there laying it on the line at the highest level.

If anyone has some good replacements for Shanahan,...we've been waiting for years to hear them. But his critics never mention them because then they'd have to support their thesis with supporting details that would likely start and end nowhere.

I don't need to twist anything, like I said before I just post your posts because you contradict yourself all the time

Also, Since when is asking you a simple question is trolling ?
