What's ironic is he thinks he was ever right. Detroit dominated us in THE RUN GAME. Their drop pass protection was actually pretty questionable every time they needed to pass. Same guy who said run game doesn't matter and it's a passing league.

Shown to be completely wrong at every level.
lol yes. He's had his ongoing gripes about mobile QBs but Brock's legs saved our a$$ today,...cause the passing game sure didn't look good.

Dude made plays with his legs that our last QB simply could never make.

Same plays that QB for KC made in SB. It's what elite QBs do.
Pass protection has been really bad lately. Even from trents side...

Purdy needs more rollouts to make up for it.

The pockets beens getting pushed back into his face and collapsing every game super quick...

True. Easy to see the weaknesses when you can see it as a strength on the other side and picture your QB behind that. Next level offense.
Brock is awesome, but limited. If he's your chosen guy, upgrades on the OL was going to be in the cards all along. He's going to have more plays vs. good teams to where you wish you had better blocking. That's just the reality of things as they are now. And with our last 2 1st round tackles leaving the last several years, it was in the cards either way.

There is no "eureka" moment here to be had this year,... and if the dude wanted to even halfway be honest, they outplayed what they were thought to be during the preseason.

I saw Goff being pressured on most plays where 9ers knew he had to throw. It's easy to play QB when you have the run game working and you can play action.

Goff is clearly inferior to Purdy. That was the difference. QBs make the difference.

Having both is great. But you NEED one.

For whatever reason the last two games it's been especially bad to start games and a lot better in the second half...

I am not sure why... It's how we have managed to claw back and get some comeback wins...
I think we're just winning games we used to lose.

I wouldnt make much more out of it than that.

The QB is the difference.

Ya got me but credit where credit is due. Brock saved several of those collapsing pockets too. Good run blocking inside the 5, solid PP at key moments, etc. But yeah, it's been brutal to start.

Not all pressure is equal. It's much worse to have the pocket pushed back into you or collapse around you than to be forced to step up or sideways.

Brocks had to deal with a lot of his own linemen being shoved into his face than free rushers getting beat which is in a lot of ways worse.

Rerouting guys around is much preferred than what Brock has seen lately.

The lions really never needed to pass. They just chose to probably to think they needed to stay balanced. They were picking up 3rd and 10s with handoffs.

If it were me I would never have Goff even throw it up 17... It's not like they were forced into "obvious passing downs" those don't exist when your consistently picking up 3rd and 10 on the ground because we're playing so bad.

They won't and you are correct. Everytine it matters in the clutch versus top notch teams they fail. And nobody will blame them. All the blame is gonna be on Wilks

#Pivot!

Although Wilks does suck too.

Agreed. Next year they will run out a b******t o line. And ppl will make the same excuses again. While Detriot eill keep drafting o line man

Kyle can scheme around it, though.

How'd that work out for you?
