What headache? You need both. And half of the "formula" damn near worked enough again for year 8 in a row. LOL. Hell, Goff even played "good enough" to win if not for the coaching decisions and critical drops (including DB's/Aiyuk).

Stupid take.

There's not a 9er fan left who doesn't want to improve our OL. My case was proven. Again.

Half of the forumla worked is the real stupid take.
Even when I'm wrong I'm right. What a joke.

You don't think the Lions (injured) OL is better than ours?

Yup, our OLine was pretty healthy, no Richburg injured or Burford injured. Feliciano still was road graded a number of times though. Same with McKivitz, Kittle was locked down and didn't have a ton of production with chipping the Lions DLine.

Yup yup. Plain as day. Except for that 1% still left in here.

Why cant out o line (and team) play 4 full quarters

That won't do you any good if you can't stop an edge run.

True, but we have to start somewhere and picking 32 or 31 more likely to find that guy than an edge. Regardless its obviously we need to reload the trenches with new bloow.
What's pretty clear is Jimmy G held us back far more than any OLine ever did. Only NC and faithful still believe otherwise.

Don't need to spend a first on a run stuffer.

If Armstead goes you replace him with the released D.J. Jones. Problem solved.

Don't worry NC we will probably draft another DL who won't amount to anything in the 1st an RB in the 3rd and kicker in the 4th. Will sign some UDFA OL though!

Facts. And you KNOW I'm ready for it.

Yup agree. I can see the 49ers going after more DLine at the first round spot. Hope day 2 and day 3 will result in some Offensive Line help.

The Lions have a good DLine. Huchinson is another Bosa. That LIons team specializes in running and stopping the run. But key for developing any defense - first step - got to have that strong middle. Strong NT/DT's strong MLB/ILB's and talented Safeties. Lions are a very young and talented defense - I think specially in the middle of that defensive team.

And yeah - starts with the DLine.
score one for the good guys and more Ls for NC and Geidi

I'd still draft a kid because injuries. I want them to draft some centers.

You can both want a better oline and also see your equation as completely dumb. They aren't mutually exclusive. We can't even talk about improving our oline because you've hijacked the entire discusion with your fool-proof equation, but the only thing you've proved is how foolish it is to marry your ego to such an arbitrary set of numbers and rankings. You've been proven wrong, like unequivocally, yet pat yourself on the back as though you were proven right. Unreal. Take the L

Meh, down 17, and it took a herculean effort to erase that 17 point lead. Lions Coaching mistakes - going for it on fourth down and our defense stopping them was key. It was a very very close win. Brock's runs were key to overcoming that 49er OLine talent deficit. Lion's don't have an equivalent scrambling QB like Brock. Spread was 10 points, won by 3.

I just want them to draft a talented OLIneman that can challenge McKivitz, Brendel, and Feliciano. Specially McKivitz. Last year they drafted *zero* offensive linemen - even in Day 3, nothing.

YOu need both to win games. Offensive Line, and QB. and the rest of the team be solid (no weaknesses). For me it's not a formula, it's more of a good combination of Talent. Its a team game. YOu just can't be weak in any spot on the team to win in the playoffs. And specially in the Superbowl.
