Brendel is going to be key here because he calls offensive line protections and so he has to be able to see the blitz and call the blitz pickups.

Ever seen 2 busted coverages swing a game 14 points and decide it?

There are other keys as well. CBs, LBs, WRs,...that QB guy....et. al.

The list goes on.

Relax. It was a joke off our last bet.

Make up some OL prop bets.

Haha.

Feliciano gets pancacked in our backfield
Brock gets his arm hit
McKivitz gives up a critical pressure on 3rd down
Brock will be forced to scramble 5 times
Trent will murder a DB
Brendel gets fork lifted

Speaking of pancakes

oh and PFF gave SF OL the highest overall grade last week.

That's more like it!

Obviously PFF only grades 2nd halfs now.

I'm sure we gave up 2 sacks lol... Both could've been avoided though.

"We" ? Or the OL?

The DLine doesn't make Spagnulo's defense great, I think the DLine is pretty much guys that will hold ground or stunt and collapse the pocket, it's the LB's and DB's that apply the *real* pressure. His scheme is (in a sense) a zone blitzing scheme that tries to apply pressure, yet still have some semblance of balance and good coverage. I think it's a feast or famine defense - and if Brock can hit on a couple of passes at the right time, those plays can be explosive. CMC can run on those defenses too - it's a matter of Kyle staying patient and not panicking and not start throwing too much if he falls behind.

LOL. Detroit absolutely dominated...even with backups. They just stopped running. KC and Balt...I could see a case if you go on basic stats.

They didn't really stop running until they had to.

first half run/pass - 21/22
second half run/pass - 8/21

Looks really imbalanced but 2nd half they were 7/11 until they were down 10 and went 1/10 (and scored a TD) on the following drive. Prior they had one 3 and out series where they had a 1st down run for a gain of 1 yard (probably going to pass on 2nd and 9). Keep in mind they had a game changing fumble on a run and their pass game was working well anyway.

Probably the best spot you could argue they should/could have ran more was the final set of downs on their first drive of the 2nd half, where they were eventually stopped on 4th down.

Nice recap. Yeah, very balanced passing attack and the tides might have turned once we owned the possessions and TOP in the 2nd half (and then lead). They certainty had the run game working well but went to Goff instead in the 2nd. Thankfully, for us.

The preseason-to-postseason transformation's pretty startling.
