That wouldn't be too much of a stretch. They're nearly identical in the trenches.
2. 49ers 7. (4.5) | 1 | 12-5
5. Chiefs 6. (5.5) | 3 | 11-6

These are opinionated rankings .. not results.
This garbage has been picked up already. It's landfilled.

Hey NC, here's my ideal OLine. Tier 1 baby!
Late '90s Denver Broncos
Denver's line of Gary Zimmerman, Tom Nalen, Tony Jones, Mark Schlereth, and Brian Habib was a big reason Broncos running back Terrell Davis averaged over four yards a carry in his first four seasons. They were also instrumental in providing quarterback John Elway with enough time to pilot the Broncos to Super Bowl victories after the 1997 and '98 seasons.

Chiefs o line has been very good in the playoffs though. Mahommes was barely touched until the Guard went down. Pressure kills so if the front 4 can actually pressure him it will change the game. I wonder how the hell we contain Kelce? He will go for him every time and who can blame him. Im thinking off the snap Warner or Greenlaw hit him and then ward takes over after? I have no idea but that duo generates so many 1st downs and points its crazy.

Yeah, they have played well. The loss of Thuney is huge though. G's lives matter too.
Like we said about Detroit, our DL and blitz packages absolutely need to attack that A gap (backups) while being disciplined on the edges to contain PM. You turn him into a backyard hero ball QB and it's game over for the Chiefs everytime.
With the resources allocated to our DL, there's no reason why they can't do just that. They certainly have the talent too. Hargrave needs to own that G. Bosa in T/E stunts inside. Whatever it takes.
Kelce? I guess Warner and a double with Gipson/Brown? You can only hope to contain him.

Then based on SB performance, the tier ranks get updated to reflect we are tier 1 QB and OL

Hargrave and Arik have to own the middle of that KC OLine. Jaiyr has to do a great job on the run fits and at the back end in coverage. Tough ask for a rookie, but I think they have to go with talent vs experience in the Superbowl. We need to cause some KC turnovers or some PBUs. These are the two best teams in the NFL this year and I feel our pass defense is getting better and better every game, so far. Health is also a factor. 49ers are healthier than KC is right now. Same with our Offensive Line, they are getting better and better every game, in my opinion.

They better do a whole lot better vs. a tier 2 OL than they did against a tier 1 OL (with backups and injuries).
No excuses for that front 7. None.
Dictate. Dominate the trenches. Close!

Seems like that line was playing under a different set of rules than today's game has though. That O line was one of the reasons the rules were changed because they were constantly hitting D linemen's knees.

yep. that's what he's referring to. different times.
and there's not really a reason to celebrate that old stuff if you detest injuries.
