They literally didn't draft one lineman last year! romo it out too , Purdy had a few guys deep but throw was either off or not there because jones/pressure blew it up.

Purdy was stiff in the pocket at times in this game. He's a 2nd year pro. He makes mistakes.

We have one true WR and the other team has an elite pass defense. Two all pro CB types.

We're never going to have an OL that sets a wall and lets the QB operate free of pressure through playoff games. Everyone deals with it. Including the Chiefs tonight.

We should try to improve the unit. Same with WR, DBs, Half the DL

KC easily wins with better protection too. Teams have flaws. Gotta mitigate. They did and we didn't.

I think the D needs a schematic overhaul. Just wont win with bend but don't break all game. That's as big an issue as the O line and secondary.

Multiple upgrades are necessary.

Again don't disagree but in this specific game the o line cost us. The defense imo played outstanding but we saw it too a hit once Greenlaw went down.

And I've been saying for years this o line needs better players. We all knew Chris jones must be accounted for. Tell mckivitz that please. Guy whiffed on the biggest down of his life.

I'm sure Purdy can improve, especially with pre snap identification and audibles etc. but the pass protection cost us a Lombardi.

If we roll out with the same line next year do you expect anything different?

What was the line call though.

Defense was just the players playing elite making up for getting no help schematically.

But that stuff with McKivitz happens when your DC is aggressive.

10 point swing because of turnovers cost us more.

I mean we were in a 50/50 game in the super bowl. A punt literally bounced off a dudes leg and cost us 7. I'll play that exact game with our same roster all day.

That aside, we can improve the unit. Just not blaming them for a loss against a f**king NFL dynasty lol. We weren't owed this game.

They won't roll out the same. I'mn the secondary either though they may not address corner properly as they never do.

My worry is rolling out the same defensive scheme that will get beaten by the better QBs.

Right. No one thinks it can't be better. It's they myopic view that it's the only problem spearheaded by the happiest guy on the planet today

Jones cost us I think 2-3 scores? We had guys open but he disrupted the play. That's crazy.

Because they send the house and the o line gets confused. It's what great defensive coaching looks like.

They need to upgrade more than just the O line to beat KC going forward.

Purdy is better for sure but he too missed deep shots, got absolutely tattooed, super rushed and missed wide open guys, etc.

This is what pressure does from leaky unit PP.

I lost the bet on the "formula."

Not the overall topic.

Bottom line, it was NOT good enough...again.

No you are wrong on the topic too. If you think the OL was the primary reason we lost tonight, we're watching a different sport.

Take it from the guy who had both his teams in the SB tonight. There is no formula. Never has been.

Yup. Same result every year.those deep shots were affected by pressure. Insanity.

It's sad too because to my surprise the defense certainly did their part this game.

Your all world RB literally dropped the ball in scoring position. It's a one score game.

I'm not hating on CMC to be clear, but that's a bigger f**k up than allowing pressure here and there against an elite D and DC

He will never admit they weren't the main reason.

Chiefs didn't have great pass protection and still won.

Give the 9ers Spags and give the Chiers Wilks and its a blowout.

Primary reason? That'll always be debatable. But it certainly is a top reason again. Nobody should debate that.

As to the formula for prioritizing an OL with a top QB, I'd say that's been more than proven the past 7 straight years and a tier 1 OL damn near got Goff into a Superbowl. It's right on schedule.

Now ShanaLynch just need to see it.
