Hindsight always wins

We were a couple plays short and if anything, we came out in dominant fashion this game. They have a legend of a QB and TE and they edged us out. It is what it is.

Fun fact?!

Yup. Same result every year.those deep shots were affected by pressure. Insanity.

It's sad too because to my surprise the defense certainly did their part this game.

Your all world RB literally dropped the ball in scoring position. It's a one score game.

I'm not hating on CMC to be clear, but that's a bigger f**k up than allowing pressure here and there against an elite D and DC

I mentioned earlier in another thread that cmc fumble was a huge mistake. However kc gave us the same right? The punt fumble was another. But Mahomes actually threw a bad pick.

In the end the pass protection was bad and cost us. on two deep shots the pressure cost the completion. Room even called that out. If the o line does their job on 3rd down they might still be playing lol

More knocked down balls on 3rd down. Groundhog day all over again.

That dude LOVES facing our OL.

Right but what is a more realistic expectation?

That we build an OL that doesn't allow pressure against an elite defense with two weeks to prepare… or… we simply don't have our all pro rb fumble a ball away in scoring position on a garden variety run and/or we don't get unlucky on a short punt in traffic.

Look at the NFL. OL's allow pressure. We just faced an elite OL two weeks ago and a statue scrub QB (who actually played well) and it wasn't good enough either.

Tier 1 fumble recovery

Yup, key injuries, turnovers, special teams, strategy, penalties, etc. This team did everything they could to lose.

Garbage take,..especially with all the apologizing you were doing for the injuries of opposing teams the last 2 games. You only have a couple supporters here as you've been outed by everyone. Supporters,...no buyers.

More realistic to me is investing more into the o line than they have the last 7 years since they actually can control that, but nobody can control when a turnover occurs in a game.

Chiefs just won the SB allowing s crap ton of pressure.

No doubt. Allowed pressure, turned the ball over… won a squeaker in OT.

Lol we all saw it. Take a fumble away here and a missed conversion there and we're easily the winners.
what the hell happened on that 3rd and 4th in OT? Was that Chris Jones that just went in unblocked? HOW THE HELL DOES THAT HAPPEN? That's the difference between winning and losing games in the NFL. Have to button that up.

That just can't happen there on a critical 3rd down. I can't imagine what Purdy was saying to himself when he was on the ground. The guy on defense that you don't want to beat you blows up a sure touchdown cause he was unblocked.

I'm not disagreeing entirely, but I would argue with better protection easily we win that game. It's our biggest issue the last few years. Before it was a mix of o line and jimmy, but imo Purdy is great and played a hell of a game.

They literally didn't draft one lineman last year! romo it out too , Purdy had a few guys deep but throw was either off or not there because jones/pressure blew it up.

KC easily wins with better protection too. Teams have flaws. Gotta mitigate. They did and we didn't.

I think the D needs a schematic overhaul. Just wont win with bend but don't break all game. That's as big an issue as the O line and secondary.

Multiple upgrades are necessary.

I think Mahommes is a pretty big mitgator along with having an incredible interior and some elite playcalling when things weren't working. I definitely agree with some changes in terms of what we do. Maybe even just a serious study of the elite defenses around the league. The Browns and Ravens come to mind and see how we can improve what we do when the rush doesn't get there.

Looks like miscommunication between McKivitz and....Burford.
