Draft oline. Maybe if we had a good interior chris jones wouldn't wreak havoc. But na draft a 3rd round kicker

Its not even that, its two years of blowing 3rd rounders on RBs that suck, another on a project TE that was in over his head so badly that he had to be IRed or cut. Its being happy with journeymen and backup tier players starting on the OL.

I don't get how fans aren't unanimous on this. The o line killed us again. Literally the 4th quarter and the one man you can't let beat you, does.

The thing that irks me is their best players on defense are Jones, Snead, and McDuffie. What are the best at? Pass rushing and pass defense. Sooo...we pass against them? Over and over and over again to start the 3rd quarter. I kept saying it in the gameday thread, why are we going up against their strength?

Did you want them to run on 2nd and 15 after Banks false start?

They're loading the box and taking CMC out of the game

It was up to Purdy and the receivers to beat man, and they couldn't do it

Be interesting in the all 22 if they weren't.

Chiefs just won the SB allowing s crap ton of pressure.

No doubt. Allowed pressure, turned the ball over… won a squeaker in OT.

And per usual, their QB and OL (and DL) made the plays at the end when it mattered most.

And ours didn't. Not good enough. Next year.
Most of our oline is made up of ELITE BACKUPS who would be Gods at a program like Georgia and Alabama. BUT this is the pros

You see what you want to see. We had two inexplicable turnovers that were at minimum a 10 point swing in a game we lost by 3. Those don't happen and we win.

Either way, you are hiding behind the 49ers loss. You didn't have the Chiefs winning either. Your formula came up empty.

JL and Kyle loves DL too much, imagine if we drafted Wirfs and traded for Trent in 2020. Our OL and future LT would be set
They do. Time to re-evaluate their approach to building the team.

Just a fun fact, in 2016 the 49ers moved up into the 1st round with the Chiefs in the draft in order to select Joshua Garnett out of Stanford. The Chiefs then used the 49ers 2nd round pick to select Chris Jones out of Mississippi State.
Never knew this and I forgot about Garnett. Just an absolutely awful player.

Run on first. If you are throwing on first, throw to Juice.

Deebo isn't beating man consistently. Aiyuk had the best chance, and even then, protection has to hold up. Passing on first down was a recipe for disaster. We needed to consistently pick up yardage, even if it was 2-3 yards at a time. And given how good the Chiefs corners are, do you think depending on our receivers to do that is a sound strategy?

what the hell happened on that 3rd and 4th in OT? Was that Chris Jones that just went in unblocked? HOW THE HELL DOES THAT HAPPEN? That's the difference between winning and losing games in the NFL. Have to button that up.

Looks like miscommunication between McKivitz and....Burford.

I hate this offensive line. Imagine if this team had a real offensive line.

Other than Trent Williams it's a lot of scrubs. Even Trent played bad considering the penalites.

Kirby Smart would probably pass on players (besides TW) on our oline

I see what everybody sees in here (look around) except for the same 5 in here who continue to pivot to everything else. LOL

You can't even admit it was a top reason for the L, circa 2019.

The formula is a mere guideline. Prioritize the QB and OL and that's a winning combination in a passing league.

KC and SF were 5 and 6 coming in...not exactly that far off from the top 3 especially when you've got PM and another MVP candidate in combination.

Was there really any doubt our weaknesses would cost us in the end? Unit PP, special teams (26th), turnovers, injuries, Kyle in the heat, Brock under high duress, etc.

Lol, That isn't actually a strong point if you pay attention to posts here.

Well yeah, not sure what y'all expected after they barely scraped by a mediocre Packers and Lions defense. Obviously the opposing coordinator will try to take CMC away.

I don't think our guys can beat man against top corners. I thought at least Kittle would have a better game against their linebackers, but he was probably trying to help block

Chiefs loaded the box & Jennings was the only receiver making plays. I love Jennings but if he is out performing Kittle, Deebo AND Aiyuk, we got problems.
