Deebo isn't beating man consistently. Aiyuk had the best chance, and even then, protection has to hold up. Passing on first down was a recipe for disaster. We needed to consistently pick up yardage, even if it was 2-3 yards at a time. And given how good the Chiefs corners are, do you think depending on our receivers to do that is a sound strategy?

Well yeah, not sure what y'all expected after they barely scraped by a mediocre Packers and Lions defense. Obviously the opposing coordinator will try to take CMC away.

I don't think our guys can beat man against top corners. I thought at least Kittle would have a better game against their linebackers, but he was probably trying to help block

The fact that we have to constantly keep our all-pro tight end in to assist with blocking should show people that the offensive line isn't up to snuff.
We need a major upgrade on the right side of the line.
Shifting the focus back to the offensive line, the entire right side should be upgraded. McKivitz had a good year imo but probably is best served as a backup swing tackle for us. Would like to see Burford develop & take the RG spot but getting replaced by Feliciano this year was a step in the wrong direction. Didn't hear a ton of complaints about Brendel so I think he had a good year but by NFL standards he is getting up there in age. Oh & Trent Williams isn't getting any younger either. At least it seems we hit on Banks for the long term.

If I'm Lynch, round 1 I'm taking either the best CB or Tackle available. Round 2 I'm taking the best player from the position I didn't take round 1. Round 3 better not be a RB, P or K!

You can't even admit it was a top reason for the L, circa 2019.

The formula is a mere guideline. Prioritize the QB and OL and that's a winning combination in a passing league.

KC and SF were 5 and 6 coming in...not exactly that far off from the top 3 especially when you've got PM and another MVP candidate in combination.

Was there really any doubt our weaknesses would cost us in the end? Unit PP, special teams (26th), turnovers, injuries, Kyle in the heat, Brock under high duress, etc.

Lol, That isn't actually a strong point if you pay attention to posts here.

Haha. Fair.

But even Ray Charles can see the need to prioritize the OL here and that it cost us again in the end.

We need a new RG and a new RT.

Even Ray Charles can see it wasn't the primary culprit.

OL is one of a few things that need upgrading.

The right side most definitely does.

We struggled to run to the right all season because Burford and McKivitz aren't very good.

I want them to draft a right tackle that might be able to replace Williams in a year or two. Three lineman in this draft wouldn't be wrong.

Burford for sure. McKivitz is up and down.

Play Moore at guard dammit.

I gave up on Moore to tbh. We need to draft 3-4tackles and 2-3gusrds at this point.

McKivitz's issue is pass blocking. He's essentially a cheaper, crappier version of McGlinchy.

Burford just sucks. The issue is that Moore isn't much better.

OL is trash and we all know it. It's time to do something about it

So was KCs line, Pat was constantly under pressure and running around.

Difference is their STs wasnt dropping punts, PATs blocked, they weren't commiting awful penalties, fumbling, and the missed throws bc of drops and bad route running.

Lol

I bet this loss makes you so happy 🤡

He's such a f**king loser . Pulling his sane s**t after loss

I mean we were controlling the LOS better than they were the first half.

Second half they blitzed all the time. I don't care if you have The Mount Rushmore of elite lineman. You can't consistently block more rushers than you have lineman. Brock HAS to recognize where they're blitzing and adjust. f**king guy is getting blitzed out of an empty backfield. Da f**k is that? Kyle gives him multiple plays and Brock can adjust. Bring CMC/Juice back in to pick up the blitz. Call for the play to have shorten routes. Screens. Throw to where the blitz is coming from at the very least.

Usually he's pretty good, not so much last night.

KC dared Brock to make the correct read quick enough to beat the blitz. He didn't get it right.

Now I'm not saying we're set at OL. They need to get some legit competition in here this offseason. I'd like them to resign Feliciano and get a couple OTs. Brendel's contract is pretty much gtd 4/1 so I doubt they get a different center this yr

Burford is butt. Feliciano was actually surprisingly decent this yr
Baldinger posted his breakdown of the last play in overtime

Someone between Burford and McKivitz screwed up.
