Always block from the inside-out. 2 guys come through the inside gap. McKivitz is focused on the furthest outside man (from W9) even with Kittle's help out there. IMHO, Burford was the main culprit but McKivitz needs to read the inside pressure first and block inside-out. He's just as much as a culprit here.

Edit: Just saw Geoff covered it.

s**t was on the RG and both Geoff and our other RG said it
Go get a mauler/talent for RG in the draft. Trade of for an RT in round 1 they have like 4 or 5 guys that can come in an start and learn from Trent.

I am okay with Trent, Banks, and Brendel next season. The right side needs an overhaul.

You could have easily said special teams cost us. Or CMC fumbling.

Burford shouldn't have even been in if Jon didn't get hurt. Brock has to be better vs the blitz. The OL can't pickup everyone when the D is bringing that stuff. Brock should have had CMC in to protect or s**t even had the ball to CMC there… Change the play at the line (he can do that) or I don't know call a TO and adjust?

it's so easy to just say the OL cost us, when in reality a lot of what ifs and f**k up costs us.

He's gonna list all the reasons we lost while never pointing anything else out while beating his horse about why he's been right all along.

Somehow the OL is expected to make up for fumbles, muff punts and defensive conservatisms all on their own. When they don't the loss is on them.

All this BS about being unstoppable with an O line as if thats the only issue.

Not wrong. Hes been bad all year. Unfortunately he cost us when it mattered most.
Kyle got cute. He's popping the center out on a 3rd and 4 hot. Burford went simple jack, but KS got way too cute for the moment also. Just trash offensive football. Shades of us getting owned at the goal line in another SB.
No surprise, film review is showing Niner's OL was by far their weakest unit in the game, both in blown assignments and talent level. First play after the INT is another one.

They should draft 5 guys this year. Minimum. Gotta increase the odds.

We only had one shot. Brock usually bails them out against regular DEs and DTs. At least it wasn't 1st down and he didn't try for Jennings 3 times.

They still need to improve at other positions, so they can't go all offensive line.

We need another corner (as Ambry is a massive liability, and I doubt Ryan comes back), probably need a safety since Gipson will probably retire, might need a WR if Jennings leaves (as Grey is a bust and Bell is trending that way).

With that said, pick 31 has to be an offensive linemen (preferably a tackle). They also need to start to prepare for Trent's retirement.

No doubt but listen to him again. He goes through 3 scenarios while trying to figure out the protection call. The last one covers CM inside. That was my point. You always block inside out esp. when you already have Kittle blocking out at W9 initially before release. But yes, the biggest fail is Burford for sure.
