Oline was trash last year, got our QB murked and cost us a chance at the SB.

Oline was trash this year and cost us a SB.

Only excuse for not fixing it is just blatant ineptitude.

As much as we all hated on McGlinchey for his pass protection, he was one of the best run blockers in the league. Now, I didn't want to pay him that salary and glad he was gone, but we can see how much our run game took a hit. We are mainly successful running to the left behind Trent. Making it more one dimensional. Back in 2019, we could run right with MM or run left on Staley's side.

Fixing the O line is a must just for PP for Brock to allow these plays to develop. Who cares how much of a genius you are with play design if it can't be executed in time. But even just having a RT who can run block well, opens up the run game.

#NotGoodEnough

This is where we may differ, I feel the players were good enough. Now listening to Schwartz, Kyle got cute with his popping the center and it puts Burford in a bit of a weird spot. The whole point of the CMC motion action is to distort zone coverage, which KC isn't even running most all 2nd half. KC is showing blitz cuz of course they are. That's what they were doing, again all 2nd half. So it's a crap protection call, and needed adjusted at the LOS. Schwartz questions if Brock even has that authority. It's the wrong play. Really on a down that shouldn't even be a pass. That's 4 down territory. Who the heck hands the ball to Mahomes with a measly 3 point lead? This HC does, 2x. And it's no mystery why KC is wearing our rings. The talent is more than there imo. We can add talent, but it was certainly, good enough.

It was a crap move to throw Spencer under the bus like that, but he not wrong.

ya this. he could have simply stayed with his original tweet saying "This was not on McKivitz" and leave it at that - no need to go any further, you protecting your guy, not actively throwing anyone under the bus, but everyone would figure out what it meant and stop trashing Mckivitz

I'm actually okay with Feliciano throwing Burford under the bus. The dude sucks and honestly shouldn't be on the roster. Feliciano should be a priority this offseason.

Sometimes we all need the slap to the face.

I know that most of the top O linemen will be gone when the Niners draft so thy may go for a CB if there's a good one available. I also would mind seeing them trade up and get one of the top tackles if they can find a reasonable trade.

They have to.

It's way past time to address it.

The "any warm body" approach has continued to cost us.

Burford and McKivitz are just meat.

Now that the tragedy of Trey Lance is behind us we have protect our QB.

JF saw all that s**t during the year and so close to a SB ring he let it go on social media

I'm less against the rotation. If you feel you have a guy who isn't ready for primetime yet but you think you may have something there, I'm all for rotating him in every now and again to get him game experience while having a vet there for the rest of the snaps.

people were delusional if they thought McG was absolute trash and could easily be replaced. we could not afford him, but he was legitimately a top-40 T in the NFL - some people underestimate how bad the O-line situation is in the league. Chiefs T's were absolutely atrocious.

He also whiffed a million times. Not worth the money if you only succeed on run plays and then only on some of those runs. When it came to doing anything else he sucked. And ge got manhandled by better linemen. Not worth it. We better find someone who can do both. I'm sick of not having any protection and getting wrecked by opposing dl.
They need to focus on both lines in the draft starting with OL first

If your tackle is going to be a subpar pass blocker, at least make sure he's dominant in the run game
