I know.....
Let's show a little optimism. This forum is always jacked up going into the season with some making wild predictions on how many wins. Purdy going to be the MVP. Bosa getting 16 sacks. Then a couple guys get hurt and it's "this team sucks""Kyle can't coach" "Purdy is just an average QB" Many of those same fans make predictions on the outcome of a game after one possession.

To be fair the one constant has been a suspect o line outside of TW the last few years.

True. That can be said for about 28 other teams as well. The last few drafts have been rather poor for O linemen. The current college game doesn't do a good job of preparing them for the NFL. Then you add in the fact that each team needs 5 starters and about 7 backups and it's not surprising that most teams are looking for upgrades. You can improve QB with one guy. Same for RB. Edge rush can be upgraded with one or maybe 2 players. The O line can have one or two weak spots and be average or poor. It's really hard to be solid at all 5 spots. Most teams have one or two good players and the rest are questionable.

Part of why I'm in favor of going for more of a sure thing in improving interior OL, then hoping for the best at tackle. It's easy to cover for one bad player. But 2 or 3 and you are doomed.

The teams that were above us last year didn't beat us

Just need to get hot at the right time

Sure does not feel that way

I guess like most people, if I feel something is wrong, I focus on what is wrong....there is a term for that....

But I sure want to blame our line for our woes.

Or not face the chiefs and Chris jones lol
I just saw another replay of the high arcing pass Brock made to McCaffrey to beat I'm assuming a blitz. Trent on the play was on a double team block with Kittle, but looks like he should've been trying to block the DT who had a free shot at sacking Purdy. I don't really know the blocking scheme but I swear Trent had no idea what the hell he was doing on that play.

The blitz pickups are consistently a problem. Is that all on Brendel? Perhaps. He's clearly the weakest link.
