I think a lot of people have thought we are thin at Offensive Line and should invest more draft stock in it for some time.

Mckivitz has been better this year and as the season goes along. Brendel and Banks are terrible. I would love to See Moore at LG. He can't be any worse. May see Bartch this week for Banks.

Before the start of the season I said that Banks wasn't good and a lot of guys here told me that I was wrong

Sticking with Brendel for this long Is madness. I really hope Kyie and Lynch puts a strong emphasis on the OL next off-season.

Don't we say the same every year?

We do, but I'm hopeful they finally address It next year.

Trent on the knee scooter today that's not a good sign
Both lines need an upgrade over the next couple of years. If Trent retires they need to try and find a free agent to replace him since finding someone in the draft that good is highly unlikely.

The D line could use a really stout guy in the middle but if Hargrave comes back healthy and Greenlaw gets back the run stopping will be much better. The Niners scheme relies a lot on the LBs to plug the gaps.

Wonder if Erving is a center candidate..

Has to be hubris.

Maybe even get someone not quite as good and leave some money for better-than-practice-squadders elsewhere on the line.

He's been hobbled all year on that ankle.

This is probably his last year

in an ideal draft....a Puni clone....

We could use above average mobility, and a guy who multi tasks like Puni does.

Puni is not always perfect, but he often selfless, and thinks big picture.

If we had two or three mobile, highly functional multi taskers right in the middle of the o-line it would change everything. Even if we could get just one more at center, and a stout run blocker at LG it could be game changing.

Hell...i am still holding out hope on Nugent TBH... guy looked like a real maybe the brief amount of time we saw him. At this point, they might as well give him some burn...I don't think popular perception is center could get much worse.
The line has gotten worst the last 2 games then the first 9 games of the year ,some of that is because they didn't have Kittle for 1 game then Williams this last week.D line is going to have to wait because we invest every year in a free agent d line and forget the o line. Look at the best 2 teams in the NFC this year the Lions and Eagles have arguably the 2 best lines. They had a stat from Barkley big game the other night were he had like 220 yards before contact. Heck our old coach has tuned around the Chargers and everybody thought he should draft a wr but what does he do but grab the best lineman in the draft.

The best 2 teams since 2019 has been the chefs and 49ers

Just cause we have an injury plagued year doesn't erase that
Trent's not retiring after this season. Stop it.

We need to go after a C in FA, a RT in the draft and look to plug a gap at LG whether it's another draft pick, a cheap vet, or someone already on the roster who can step up.

Idk he can't even play the entire season and plays through injury every game. That can have an affect on older vets
