Center through FA and RT in Draft.

Trent/Zeitler/Myers or Dalman/Puni/ Draft

That should be a solid line for Purdy.

It is pissing me off that last year had like 6 centers considered starting caliber and this year the first guy is a late 3rd early 4th. Make it make sense!

It is odd considering how important the center position is in Kyle's scheme seemed we really valued that position at first when we had Alex Mack our OL was doing great then when he retired we went and got Richburg who was considered solid at the time but didn't pan out because of injuries. Since then it seems we've completely ignored trying to get a C

I worry that how they'll address it is by throwing a bunch of money they really don't have at Drew Dalman, a center that is a very good run blocker but a below average pass blocker who still has too many miscues with snapping the football for a guy who has been playing the position for years.

What they really needed was a Zach Frazier, a bigger center that holds up consistently as a pass blocker and has enough movement ability to get out and block into the second level. The best center remaining in the draft right now might be a converted tackle like Marcus Mbow.

What free agents do you see as a good scheme fit? Hard to see Kyle trusting a rookie at C

Dalman is a very good scheme fit he's just been inconsistent/not so great as a pass blocker.

I think Ryan Kelly of the Colts is a good fit, he's three or four time Pro Bowler that is very experienced, a noted locker room and on field leader but is also going to be 31 and has had some issues with injuries during his career.

Josh Myers of the Packers fits obviously but he hasn't...been great. He was terrific his first year in the NFL and then has been mostly middle to bottom of the pack among NFL centers since.

I would roll the dice with Kelly personally and add a center-in-waiting through the draft to develop.
