Looking like it will be another year where our OL is crap and we have to give Kaep another year to work on things... just a feeling I have had for a while...

You forgot about the screens and rb pass routes already ?

I seriously hope they have something to counter the pressure they are going to get while the OL is getting acquainted. If the D can hold up for the first couple games and the offense can find a rythym, we might actually have a fighting chance this season.

Dude we have nothing to counter the horrible o-line play. Only thing is keep Reggie or Kendall in to block along with Miller flank them out as safety valves of there is no one to block. Hyde isn't ready for full time blocking duties. The Rams and Shehawks d-lines will feast on that side of the line. I rather put Alex Boone on the weaker side so he can talk to the weaker players before the snap and sort of direct the traffic so to speak. Basically hell pick up the slack over there.

With even that bad ol play we were still close to winning, we were t out of any game last year

Coaching is what made us lose

Did I say it was a for sure fix, plus it's the line we are going to have

If it were up to you we would be worse trying to fix things cause things are greener on the othe side for you

Lol how would it be worse? our right side can't block they getting free money, it can't get worse.. I didn't say cut the starters we have now i said bring in vets cause marcus martin getting his ass beat n pears can't block n getting a false start ever day.. Or we need to shift the line around again. Cause that shxt we got out there now aint working. Idc if its day 4

Kilgore's slow recovery almost demands they will seek to bolster the OL from the outside.

if they like any three of Looney, Martin, Thomas, Tiller and Farrell we should be fine until Kilgore is back.

Rember last year?

Yup. That's why I'm encouraged. The "Looney Sucks" crowd needs to do their homework. He had a couple ugly plays in the same game. One of them was caused by JMart whiffing on a double team. That was enough to get a couple writers and a bunch of fans on his case. I reviewed all of his plays from last year. He was solid. Not awesome, but dependable. With that experience, and war Tomsula described as an impressive offseason, he should be better.

Martin was assignment sound and had good feet and hand placement. His struggles were almost all related to nor being strong enough. He's obviously stronger now.

Brandon Thomas has never been a road - grading run blocker, but he had LT feet coming out in the dtaft. He's a question mark with a lot of talent.

Farrell is young and was decent last year.

I don't know much about Tiller, but he was a PS guy that the staff liked enough to put on the 53 late last year.

If you know Trent , then it's not his forte

Only injuries will bring in new faces
O-line is getting bad reviews, but it's still early. Remember in 2011 the o-line was a freaking disaster in TC/pre-season. They rounded into form after getting some time to gel together.

This line is not going to be physically dominant. We've got a new starter at 4 of the 5 positions. They're going to take their lumps. Just have to hope they are technically sound and learn to play together. That's the key in the ZBS.

Staley is one of the top LTs in the game. Boone is solid and should play well paired with Staley. Looney has some talent, and many felt he was best suited for a ZBS. Ditto for Martin and Pears. These dudes just need some time to get acclimated. I'm not expecting a top-tier line, it looks like the weakest unit on the roster, but I do think they will be serviceable.
Call Adam SNyder and Evan Mathis Already.
Just add....

And do it soon, he's getting customers.
