It's also colder

But rarely cooler
Not a section there that is as hot as KC during late summer and early fall. Not only is it hot but it is very humid.

I use to go to day youth baseball games in Sacramento in the summer growing up. 110-115 sometimes. You'd think there would be reports of parents of ball playing teenagers all over the Bay Area dying in groups all summer, every summer if the issue at Levis was truly THAT bad. Or do they not allow people to go outside in the daytime in San Jose / Santa Clara anymore? How many deaths do they have at Great America every year for people waiting in line?

C'mon man those are record high type numbers. The hottest I can remember was 110 for like 3 days 115 maybe once or twice. I have rolled trusses, roofed, dug trenches, went through attics in that heat.

If the heat is too much for some of you, sell me your unwanted tickets on the cheap yo.

They rushed this POS stadium. Remember the locker room/sideline debacle?
what did they rush...solar alignment ?

The Stadium face North and south same as the Stick, same as Oakland

LOL. Bingo again.

This is the freakin' Bay Area people.

Um...home locker room was built on the sunny/visitor side. And that's the side the home sideline was originally set for. But Harbawz was sensitive to the sun just like 90% of us and said eff that -- we're moving the home sideline to the shade and we'll just cross the field at half time to get to our "home" locker room. We can slap hands with the visiting team as they walking over to the visitor's locker room.
Anywhere in the Visitor side, definitely bring water.

But i can't imagine it being that hot right now.

I was also was at the chiefs games, but i sat there and took it, drank hella water, but i never left my seat like half of the crowd.

That's right i'm BAD! lol

I would if I didn't live in LA. Went to Arizona for the game last year. Might do that this year. Seeing a game in the bay area has other logistical issues for me, though.

I said sometimes. This was between 1990-1997. It was definitely above 100 for weeks at times, which is still much hotter than 85.

um...what's your point?

That's not exactly earthshattering news.

NFL team will choose ANY advantage they can. OF COURSE you want your back to the sun and your team in the shade.

That doesn't mean its unbearably hot. It means your coach has a clue and will take any advantage he can get.

The sun was pretty brutal for Wrestlemania.

Are they gonna add a canopy extension or something?

ya right.

Taking a cue from the Jacksonville Jaguars, the 49ers will feature a cool zone that includes air-conditioned benches on the concourse. Misting fans will also be set up along the plaza to provide relief from the heat.

in other words, even less people will be in their seats next season.

The concourse is where the food and souvenirs are, gotta keep the guests there as long as possible. Levi's isn't about football, it is about making Jed more money.

They made a mistake in the design -- they should have originally placed the home field locker room on the shady side.

Going back to my original post of which you questioned...They rushed this POS stadium. Remember the locker room/sideline debacle?

that still doesn't explain how it was rushed
Think about it hard -- you'll come up with a good answer.
