That was obvious from the start.

Given Kaepernick's history of confusion and horrible decision, it is possible the staff has said, "just run this. Don't try any thing else."

If that is the case, it is time for not only a QB change but a coaching change for not at least giving BG a shot.

Lets see, Carr has a monster #1 receiver, arguably the best pass blocking oline in the league and a run game. I've been watching the Raiders quite a bit and the guy has so much time to throw. He was pretty decent in his 1st year (no one was clamorring for him) got a proper head coach, an improved line, some receivers and a running game and wow...he's better? Or does it have anything to do with the fact that Bill Musgrave his OC actually has experience with 5 diferent teams while Geep has no experience besides his stint with San Diego who was absolute trash? Shocking!

Line? Carr
OC? Carr
Receivers? Carr
Running game? Carr
Coaching staff? Carr

I'd say Carr has much better pieces around him and it's not close.

Any football fan who knows anything saw Carr last season and knew that he had more base knowledge of the QB position than Kap has. He had no pieces and still looked better than kap. I saw it, brought it up, and was knocked by all the s**t sippers here. It was comical.

Any QB worth a damn throws that ball no matter what the play is.

Yeah but he only had TWO wide open, uncovered WRs to choose from, that's a hard decision.
If a player is any good, they should be able to make up for something in terms of their teams short comings, if they are great they can make up for a lot of them. Even if you like Kap and lay this all on everyone around him...if he was really a truly a good QB at this point in his career he should be able to cover for some of this and move the Ball. Cam Newton has less to work with than we do and finds ways to win games and he is by no means elite.
Give Carr 1 billion dollars

Sam Bradford plays in a much better offensive system and has worse numbers than Kaep.

I'm going to take a break from this place.

No thanks to Breadcrumbs, unless he comes cheap.

If it was Richard Sherman he would have thrown it.
i don't give a f**k if you have "permission" to change the play or not. if you see that and you don't rise up and chuck the ball out there you're a f**king idiot. i know kap isn't getting much help, but he's playing like f**king garbage even with all the bad things around him. unbelieveable

Given Torrey's reaction, I'd say there was an opportunity to change the play and get the ball to him.

We'll need to find this out. If the theory that Kaep is dumb and the reason why the offense is so anemic is because it's dumbed down for Kaep who can't grasp it, then I would not believe that he'd have authority to audible out of plays. I'd rather wait till it comes from the horse's mouth before assuming one way or another.

One again Do Not Care...if you have even a shred of situational awareness and a scintilla of back bone you throw that f**king ball get your free TD and say "sorry coach" when you get to the sideline. There is zero and I mean zero excuse for an alleged professional to run that play in that situation.

It is really nice not needing my 2 cents in here. EVErything is being said that needs to be. Nobody is seeing the free fall of kap moreso than the WZ.

Sherman would be a 1000 yard receiver for Kap.

True.

However, we all said last season that Crabtree was an ideal #2 possession receiver. So Baalke went out and signed Torrey Smith but Crabtree left. Now he is in the kind of system where he can use his skills. I have seen all the Raider games this season and the combo of Cooper and Crabtree with Carr finding them and delivering is becoming a potent force. Crabtree has another TD catch today and Carr has thrown two more to Holmes while NYJ double Cooper. They take away his primary threat but he goes through his progression and finds the alternate for 6. THAT is good QB play.

Hurts to say the Oakland QB is far and away better than the 49er QB.

The combination of Carr as QB and having really good receivers across the board, including Amari, is giving Crabtree a chance to do what he does well...find the open space and catch the ball. He's a possession receiver and I wish him well.

Carr was one of my favorite young QBs last year, though I'm not a fan of the Raiders. They have built a team that is loaded...
