Im talking about how bad they looked until Peyton came along. A team that relied on its Defense when Tebow played, Peyton came along and the dude broke records right away and there offense became unstoppable.
If Peyton had joined the Niners, they'd have two Super Bowl wins by now. Instead, both the Niners and Peyton have none.
We would have had two Super Bowl wins if Alex Smith had stayed here.
OK.
One.
I dunno, I think zero personally, Smith would have beaten Baltimore imo but I think we lose with Smith against GB so we wouldnt of even gotten to the bowl in the first place. Where as I think we lose with Kap against NO, when alex won, but Kap wouldve won against the NYG where alex lost. All because these two dudes bring different traits. I want neither of them as our QB. but riding either of them for a full season i think would have resulted in zero superbowls.. We made the right move in getting rid of Smith, Now we need to make the right move and get rid of kaepernick. Not because theres a better guy out there that we can trade or pick up in FA, but we need to go back to the drawing board and start drafting. We wont win anything with kap. we had a defense like i said for 11-13 that we probably wont see on the 49ers again in our lifetimes.

I can't believe this is the Sane kid that not too long had the league on fire.

A one-trick pony is quickly exposed in this league.

Defenses adjusted to his limited skill set. Take away his running and force him to pass. Game over for us.
It isn't just that...he has visibly regressed in so many ways. The bad protection has made him gun shy in the pocket, then a couple of bad games got him to start holding the ball and not trusting his instincts and now he has gotten so broken down he isn't even looking around pre-snap. He has unraveled in so many ways from where he started. If he was just one read and run like he was back then he would still make some plays but be limited like Cam or Wilson. What he is now isn't even that.

This is hilarious, so we just keep trading away our QBs? How about spending money on the oline? Our QB was a star when we had something better than a Jr High offensive line

41 attempts for less than 150 isn't acceptable, regardless of how good the defense is. Time to see what Gabbert can do
Originally posted by strickac:This is a legit reason I can see for benching him now. It hit me a few weeks ago when I saw Kap throw a few balls into the dirt. A guy that has a rocket arm that normally throws the ball too hard or too high for his receivers now can't even get the pass to make it to them? It's all in his head. I'd sit him down for the rest of the season. I think he should get a shot next season, but they need to renegotiate that contract. There is no way they can justify paying that kind of money to a guy they are not sure about. Have him sit and regroup. Rebuild the O-line. Worse case scenario, you have a veteran QB in there so we don't have to risk any rookie we may draft. Best case scenario, we get the Kap of 2012. Realistically, we get the guy from 2013 which I can live with. That is still better than two-thirds of the league and we still can develop a rookie QB behind him.

He had vision and accuracy when he blasted Chicago on MNF. Is problems are all mental. He's damaged right now. He needs to sit and get his mind right. It worked for Alex. It's a mind f**k

I'd be more ok with the Niners losing if they were at least entertaining to watch. This offense reminds me of the dark ages when it was just a constant 3 and out.
Comparing eras, this team has more talent...Boldin and Smith are good WRs, and Simpson showed a bit today for a first game back. Hyde is good, Celek is good...VD was better today...but the OL and Kaepernick are just really sad right now. And it's impossible to tell which imacts the other more negatively!
