This is not how football works. If you do not have authority to audible then you just don't do it. If he has the authority then by all means let him have it but I find that people here are wildly unreasonable and in true pack mentality Kaep is the whipping boy so everything will be amplified to criticize him. It happened to the last QB and will happen to the next one.

Every WR/TE and QB has a signal that means throw me the ball right away.
Regardless of the play call, if you get that signal, it usually means no one is covering me.
Hell I remember one game in HS, I was a TE. The defense was blitzing the weak side and left a safety over the top on the weak side. No one was over me. I saw it and signaled, the QB saw it and hiked the ball and dumped it straight to me. Went for 30 yards. We scored 3 plays later. In the side line the coach came up to the QB and me said wtf happened. (We had a run call), told the coach. His response, if you see it again, do it again
