Kap is the fifth biggest problem in this offense behind the OL, RB depth, lack of receiving targets, and suspect coaching.

What?

Receiving targets are jumping up and down trying to get his attention. RB depth just became a problem. I will give you OL. Coaching is a wash with him.

Kap and SF have failed each other.

Kap failed San Francisco. If not for the Stacked team that Scotty Mac left us and the NFL not yet adjusting to Kap in late 2012, then the 49ers would be just so so.Once the league figured out Kap it was GAME OVER. He cannot read period, He just does not have that ability. This is year 5 and year 3.5 starting! He should be passed the 1st grade reading level but he is not and its a painful fact. I would personally trade him tonight tomorrow for any round pick and im not joking. No way he will become an NFL Quality QB anytime soon.

This is not how football works. If you do not have authority to audible then you just don't do it. If he has the authority then by all means let him have it but I find that people here are wildly unreasonable and in true pack mentality Kaep is the whipping boy so everything will be amplified to criticize him. It happened to the last QB and will happen to the next one.

You are 100% false! Have you played organized football?
Every WR/TE and QB has a signal that means throw me the ball right away.
Regardless of the play call, if you get that signal, it usually means no one is covering me.

Hell I remember one game in HS, I was a TE. The defense was blitzing the weak side and left a safety over the top on the weak side. No one was over me. I saw it and signaled, the QB saw it and hiked the ball and dumped it straight to me. Went for 30 yards. We scored 3 plays later. In the side line the coach came up to the QB and me said wtf happened. (We had a run call), told the coach. His response, if you see it again, do it again
He went from a star to being David Carr'ed. Sad thing is, there is not magical rookie QB to me that I see who could come in and play better starting for us next year. We're stuck with CK at least one more year unless we can acquire another QB in free agency or via trade.

That's the point of the audible. To audible out of the run, let the OL know you are throwing. This is an NFL offense. They should have communication for things like this.

Earlier, in the thread, I said that it is possible Kap didn't have permission to audible out of the play and some said that he should have just thrown it. I don't think it is clear that it is all on Kap.

Tomsula confirmed Kap has the authority to check out of a plays, and specifically that play.

Report: Multiple players on 49ers want Colin Kaepernick 'benched'

"Two 49ers players texted me and said after this game that it is time for Colin Kaepernick to be benched. This game lost to the Rams was the tipping point in a series of events that have been building and building and building to this point," Cole reports. "What these players say is they don't want Kaepernick's to be out of the plans for the 49ers. But simply put they think he needs time on the bench to clear his head, get himself straight so he understands what the offense is trying to do and what he can do to make it work."

Official definition of "Kapscuses" from the Websters Dictionary: (verb) "The act of defending, arguing for and/or justifying the horrific play of Colin Kaepernick, to the comical point of absurdity. This includes consistent blaming of other things in the surrounding environment of Colin Kaepernick."

No way we keep Kap unless he comes back at a league minimum, but that ain't happening. The guy is done here and he shouldn't even be playing with his injury clause.

Wow. They went out of their way to text the media

That's a major indictment of Kap and the coaches.
