If you put Gabbert out there and he plays well, the coaching staff ends up being put in the midst of a QB controversy that I think they are hoping to avoid. I predicted that we wouldn't see Gabbert at all, no matter how big the Rams lead got. This staff can't bringing itself to permanently bench Devey, no way do they have the balls to deal with a QB swap.
You have a coaching staff that is trying to be buddies with everyone and seemingly paralyzed by the thought of benching anyone.
