This is just sad and pathetic. IMO, the game that truly broke Kaepernick was the NFC Championship game in Seattle. He was balling until his massive choke in the fourth quarter. What we have since witnessed has been a slow decline into total awfulness. Right now, CK is projected to throw for 12 TDs this season. Even QBs on awful teams like the Jags can do more than that. If a WR wants to end his football career, he will go to team with CK as the quarterback because he will never see the football.

This would have probably been an easy TD to! Kaep just doesn't have the smarts. He does not have the mental smarts to play the position. Yeah he has the strongest arm and can run like a cheetah but can't distinguish a big play when there is one. Both WR's were open!!!! I mean seriously!!!!! I believe a couple of weeks ago Brady was in this same situation. They were going to run the ball but saw Gronk out wide open with no one on him and he snapped it and just threw it with the quickness....TD! How many times have we seen a guy wide open that Kaep does not see. I believe on one drive Patton was open in the endzone but Kaep decided to throw to Davis underneath?

He has to go.....play Gabbert....see what he has, its not like we're trying to get into the playoffs anyway.

Kaep wouldn't see the open guy even if it was in front of his face. Kaep is damaged goods. He needs to go!!

Now I agree..but a year or two ago? Not a chance. Keep recycling QBs without dealing with the real problem. We'll be complaining about the same thing every 2-3 years.

Its just hilarious how historically bad and stupid that play is. And then the next play is a safety. Its so bad you have to laugh.

Not if you get the right coaches in there.....I'd say owner to but I don't think anything is gonna happen there. We had the right coach....its just the drama between the owner and Harbaugh reallly screwed that up. Winning must have not been important to York...his feelings were.

Do you think we'll be able to find a better coach than Harbaugh? The ownership is a massive problem. Harbaugh should have had a free pass to do whatever he wanted. The problem is Jed who knows nothing about football thinks he knows more than respected footbal people. Jim is a proud guy, a football guy, I wouldn't respect Jed either if I was him. Who is advising the owner anyways?

He had the right coach....and look where we are.

Jim went to the Superbowl with Kaepernick. The current regime continues to start a broken Kaepernick that they likely broke. If they thought Kaepernick wasn't good enough, they would have drafted a QB. They obviously didn't think Keap was a problem. Tomsula has backed him week after week and started him week after week.

The coaching staff continued to run the ball. Why not at least try a pass play after seeing receivers left open?

I'm not saying that Kaep is good. I'm not even saying he deserves to start anymore. What I will say is i'm tired of every average joe on the streets pretending that they are somehow smarter than Kaep. Yes you seen these two receivers open. You are also sitting at home on your couch, looking at the play from a birds eye view, with no pressure. How do you know anything about what is going on in his head. Kaep never was the guy that could do well without an offensive line or a good running game. That's who he is right now. He can and probably will be a successful QB by the end of his career.Just not with this team. I don't mean the 49ers either. I mean the current roster.

We need a fire sale. Trash the o-line, TEs, and anyone else not pulling their weight. Kaep I think should get a pass because I just don't see how we could upgrade his position. Next year. First picks need to be pass rushing OLB or a stout d linemen and O-line, O-line, O-line. Let him play a year with an improved O-line and maybe we could get something in a trade. Maybe he plays well enough to keep him. All I know is Kaep is absolute trash right now and I personally think it's all in his head. He is capable of everything required of a QB. He's shown that. He just can't put it all together when he's got no time and the team itself is falling apart.
anyone get anything from this ? I did.

From ESPN :

"But when the topic turned to the Niners' toothless offense, Bowman's mood shifted. The question: You practice against the offense daily, so are you surprised it is struggling so mightily?

Bowman smiled and paused.

"I don't know," he said boisterously, before playfully turning away."

Well my point was we had the right coach in place. Had we kept him for 6-8 years, we probably would have had a SB or 2 in there. No coach in his right mind will come to SF now.

So you think the coaching staff should stay in place?

No argument from me. It's a monumental screwup by ownership who has a long list of massive screwups.

There is another quote from Tim K, basically Bowman said he can't comment on the offense and said he wish he could have told the coach to play running back.
