The line should have been addressed after game 3 or 4. The fact that Devey is still in there is beyond frustrations. The OL should have been shaken up already. Maybe even putting Boone back on the rightside just to see what happens. The coaching staff still had time to try something different in hopes of salvaging the season but they missed the opportunity several games ago.

Devey really shouldn't even be in the league. Pears? Read this from ninernation when we signed him: "The move should probably not to be viewed as a guy who will take over at left guard. He might get a chance to compete for a starting position, but based on what I've read, if Pears claims a starting job, something has probably gone seriously wrong. Pears played guard last season, but had played right tackle much of the previous nine seasons."

Marcus Martin scouting report says: "Lacks desirable grit, toughness and finishing strength to maximize his talent and is stronger than he plays. Has instant-starter potential as a center or right guard, but could stand to benefit from some time to be groomed."

Pro Football Focus: "Dud: Rookie's often come into the league and struggle and Marcus Martin was no different there. He was pushed about frequently"

That's 3 out of 5 linemen that should not be starting. And yet every game they get trotted out there. We can't even run the ball anymore. It's a chain reaction really. Everyone on the team is affected even the QB who while some may say is trash, is not THIS bad.

So keep your revisionist history if it helps you sleep better at night.

It was a jaw injury and he was cleared to play. If you're jaw is healed enough to block and play football, it's more than healed enough to run and catch passes.

But keep the excuses coming if it helps you sleep better at night.

Should not have been on the field and played like his jaw was broken. Sad. But on his best days Walker was one of my favorite niners. On his bad days he was drop machine.
I've been a big fan of Colin Kaepernick, but I have to say I'm off the wagon. I still like him a lot and I still wish he would get it together, but this last game was a microcosm of all the frustrating things to me about him. He'll make some great passes here and there, just great. But he'll also do things that are just ridiculous, especially when he's under the pressure of facing a real good defense. That Correy Smith thing was absurd. The QB just has GOT to have the presence of mind to see Smith gesturing wildly to him - he can't have tunnel vision like that. I just don't know what to make of him. There have been times when he seems to be seeing the whole field, but more times when he just seems like he's lost it to me.

You should watch that game again, its on youtube. Delanie wasn't playing like his jaw was broke. He actually led the way with some key blocks to spring big runs.

You are talking about inconsistency. That's the problem with his whole game. There's nothing that he can do consistently good, other than maybe throwing a slant pass.

Great piece from Tim K, truth bomb!! Even Bow can't lie about how sh*t the offense is and specifically Krapnpick.

The biggest issue with 9ers' current problem lies in the fact all the bad decisions behind what is going wrong now are all interlocked. You almost just don't know where to begin to fix it.

Bowman didn't say anything about Kaep in that article. Kawakami didn't mention the oline ONE time and we all know it's THE biggest issue. This is why you can't post his s**t, there's too much slant and animosity towards the team. He did say some things that are true but his opinion gets zero burn because of his history.
Hid eyes are too close together to be able to have the proper peripheral vision to scan the entire field
The offensive line is crap but please stop using it as an excuse. It's the most over used excuse for any struggling qb. There are so many throws where Kap just misses with a clean pocket

Re-watching the last half of yesterdays game, I wouldn't say the O-line is the biggest issue. I'd say the biggest issue is Kap, he's missed on both passing and reading a defense, it's like he either doesn't wanna play for this team anymore or trying to get Tomsula and Chryst fired. I bet you if you change the QB the mentality of the offense will change too. Right now Kap doesn't look to be playing with any awareness, no poise, no urgency he just looks flat out sad and I don't just mean s**tty sad I mean sad like he misses someones Harbaugh for instance.

Oh and Btw re:artice:

But Tomsula isn't qualified to make that call, offensive coordinator Geep Chryst certainly hasn't made things any easier, and why would anybody think Gabbert could do any better with that coach, that offensive coordinator and the woeful offensive line Baalke put together?

I see, I guess you didn't read the article then. OK. LOL.

That's Kap, poor football IQ.

Not just IQ, but basically the guy panics like a chicken and he doesn't even use his eyes to see what plays could be had.
He has the IQ and hasn't panicked in every game he has played.

But, he's done this before (changed the play and hit the WR) and it was against the best of teams.

Something is very wrong with dude right now, needs to be benched
Can't believe we'll be at square one with either a recycled, mediocre veteran QB and/or a rookie. Kap will be a backup somewhere. Man, this changed quickly
