i dug through a bunch of vids but couldn't find it.

Even if his motion looks the same I'm hopeful that with the amount of speed we have acquired on offense we'll be able to scheme players getting more separation.

I noticed the difference in a few of the passes that they showed him passing from the pocket and not on the run.
No way does the motion look the same. His drop back is also much smoother. Check in the remix video on the official site.

I haven't really looked at the footage yet, but I appreciated what cully wrote in post #1542 about our lack of team speed at Wide Out last year and believe we need a deep threat on the field to keep Defenses honest.

At no point did I see a full dropback, plant, and throw.

We won't know until it's a live situation. Tebow had a special "fix my motion" tutor and it never stuck. I don't think Kaps throwing motion was really a problem, just his consistency to pocket pass fundamentally sound.

Around 1:15 you see a pretty solid version of it.

Definitely, but he should had terrible form all around. His shoulders were never in the right place and that hurt him from going through his reads at times. His pocket presence could improve with better fundamentals.
Edit: never mind, I don't know enough to justify making the comment I originally posted.

I'm actually curious about his college coaches. How did they not try to fix this when he was still very raw. Coaching failure IMO for a kid still learning the game.
It took Montana two years to be a good QB under Walsh, and then he had to work during the first mini camp each year to maintain and further hone his passing, footwork, vision, arm level...

To think that Kaepernick can learn in one off season and have it cemented in his mind is just not realistic. I expect him to be improved but still a work in progress over the next few years. If he can have better ball security, better touch on short passes, and see the short routes clearly I will be one happy camper!
Truthfully, in the college game he didn't need great fundamentals to be dominant. This was all on our prior coaching staff.
