Around 1:15 you see a pretty solid version of it.

Still no complete dropback, and they sped up his throwing motion. That said, I think it's clear that his wind up is shorter, which must speed up his release. The angle makes it tough to talk about his feet, but at least his knees were bent.

The thing I noticed about those few seconds of footage was his really narrow base. It looks like he is finishing his dropback with a hop while his feet are together, which means his balance is off and he has to take an extra step to step into the throw and get the ball out (which translates to a slower delivery). Hard to look at that footage and be sure, but I'd like to see that left foot further out front. Definitely reserving judgment until I see him in game though.
It's not like his throwing motion caused him to be ineffective. Everyone's biggest complaint was him putting more "touch" on the ball. So regardless whether he changed his throwing motion or not, he can still be an elite QB.

It's a tough angle to look from, but to me his dropback looked really good. His knees are bent, and if you look closely he completes the dropback with his front (left) foot planting before his back foot. He has good balance, squares his shoulder, and it's a smooth release. He's definitely improved his throwing motion. Can't wait for the pre-season games to get a true look at it.

Oh, I haven't missed a 49er game on TV since the KC Joe Montana Duel, but I do have that recorded on VHS...

but yeah, other than all you've listed, it's just KAEPs big ego...

OL injuries - even before this unfortunate event happened, Kaep would always think that he's Peyton Manning when it comes to pre-snap read.. Don't you remember the SUPER BOWL pass to your favorite 49er playef of all time in CRABTREE??

Lack of Runing game - my goodness, he's the QB of the team, if he feels like our RBs been suckin, then maybe he needs to step up and talk to the coaches that maybe, just maybe we need to use a different back, or design a new play or two and promise not to change or audible out of it..

TE production and Slow WRs - as slow as they may be, it's KAEPs problem as a QB that he can NOT throw a simple slant, simple touch, and is just inlove with the idea of beating the odds anytime of the day when and if he "sees Crab One on One against Anybody"...

OH, AND YEAH, BAD PLAY CALLING - last but not the least... HOW COME NO ONE WAS COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PLAY CALLING WHEN KAEP WAS RUNNING ALL OVER GREEN BAY... SAINTS... ATLANTA... and WINNING?? all of a sudden, it's the play calling??

The Seahawks offense seems to be moving in a different direction when Russell Wilson ain't the QB, is that because of BAD play calling???

For the sake of my own reputation as a poster on these boards, I want to make clear that I don't agree with this dude.

Most stupid thing i've ever heard.

Here is the link for those who haven't seen his new drop back.

At no point did I see a full dropback, plant, and throw.

At the very very end of the vid

I think he will have a better season, the offense we ran last year really didn't seem to work to his strengths. I'd like to see roll outs, more shots down the field, screen passes, I love what Torrey Smith brings with his speed and also Reggie Bush. Smith and Boldin compliment each other very well.

Thanks, wasted a minute of my life watching that. There was absolutely nothing in that video that specifically said the 49ers are concerned about his off season work. All I heard was they wanted to send logan but didn't so as to not violate the CBA. Other then that it's just some guy posing hypothetical questions.
