Man, you're really going down with the ship, congrats, that kind of loyalty is honorable. Sorry your boy didn't make it and believe me, I fully understand that you will still be defending Kap even when he's out of the league, you'll be trying to convince people why he's better than MVP QBs, but seriously, it's time to move on.

It is funny to see how some people are personally invested in this guy. It was the same with Alex Smith.
No matter how much proof there is, people will still choose to see what they want to see.

Agreed. Never understood how a poster can cheer for one player over a team. I mean guys like blindfury and Afrikan take PERSONAL OFFENSE if you say anything bad about Kap. It's hilarious how they get so worked up about it as if you just insulted one of their relatives.

I think this is why it's important that Gabbert gets some starts this year. Everyone has been ragging on how bad the offense is and how bad the coaches are and what a terrible OC we have. All of that may be true but just in looking at this graphic and many more like it suggests that the coaches are calling plays that get players open in the passing game. It is Kaepernick's continuing failure to execute that is killing them Maybe Gabbert won't be any better but if you put him in and he is able to execute the offense the way it is designed then, if nothing else, you find out whether it is the coaches or the scheme that is failing or the players. It seems like a no brainer to me but having ditched a perfectly serviceable QB to go chasing after Kaepernick's "potential" perhaps they have become too vested in proving themselves right. I haven't had any real issues with Tomsula this year, he inherited a bit of a mess. But if he doesn't pull the plug on Kaepernick soon then I will have to assume that he perhaps isn't cut out for the job
The problem is that it seems as though the coaches are trying so hard to get Kap to be high school successful that we are beginning to miss other details. Kap is dragging the offense down right now when the coaches should be focusing on putting together creative game plans instead of a basic fundamental plan that Kap still won't execute even though it's open.
Welp. Harbaugh and Kaep are gone. Who will be the next scapegoat?

I thought Harbaugh was the one who invested in Kap. Considering the deal Kap got, I don't think Trent, or other coaches have a heavy investment in Kap. I think they realize there is more to our fails than the QB but they also need to try to isolate the biggest problem. Can't do that without replacing the QB.

That's fine and all, but why not start with the line? Anyways, lets see how his plays out.

I don't mind having an objective discussion about it.

Lmfao that's funny coming from a guy who qoutes people but deletes over half of the qoute.. Hypocritical much? Or just on this board. Either way wouldn't be surprised if it was both.

I will always be curious about that. Apparently Andrew Luck had nice things to say about Kaepernick from a QB camp he attended when he and Harbaugh were still at Stanford or shortly after Harbaugh left. I would think ditching a starting QB, who was playing better than he ever had and was near the top of the league in most of the metrics they use to judge these things, would have been a team decision with Baalke and maybe even York having to sign off on it. I wonder how Baalke really felt about it. Seems like Smith was a really good fit for the type of offense that Baalke likes to run and I will always wonder whether or not that was something he was on board with or if Harbaugh rammed it down his throat somehow, and if it was that decision that was really the beginning of the end for Harbaugh in SF. Too bad Baalke is such a closed book when discussing those kind of things. I think it would be really interesting to hear how that all played out.

look I ain't gonna continue this convo with you if you are just going to bring up b******t.....saying players like its the whole team. The only thing we have heard semi confirmed was that Vernon (of all people) called out Kap....maybe to say he needs to play better....doubt for Kap to get benched/removed like you say.

but if some simple minded folks believe our players are going to text Jason F'ing Cole of all people...right after a game...then I don't know what to tell you.

This pretty much sums up why no one should even be engaging in a convo with Afrikan on kaepernick. When you become this emotionally invested into a player you can't even discuss football about the player anymore there's just no point. The whole world could be saying the opposite of what he's saying (which it seems like they already are) but only he is right... Reading the last couple pages. Smh lol.

If they weren't coommitted to him they should have had a plan b or successor plan. In true 49er fashion, they will move on fromKaepernick without a plan.
