Its really this freakin simple.

He has a hashtag he's been using that says 7tormscoming. He sees pictures of flood from big storm. He says, "tolda ya storm was coming!!".

Then peeps tell him people are dead and injured.

Now he feels like an a$$...

........and keyboard tough guys all over the country get to feel good by standing in judgment. Get over your damn selves. He made a mistake. He admitted it. He apologized. Move on.

It's a non-issue people. He wasn't aware of the damage done from this flood. Probably doesn't follow the news. He apologized. End of story.

agree, the only thing you can do is just stand back and let them have their 24 hours of glory to most of us and to the team and coaches its a non story

I'm the polar opposite of a Kaepernick basher but that was just f***in' dumb...you don't need to be a news junkie to know that hmm, flash floods just might have resulted in some bad stuff happening. I hate the whole social media thing (7stomsComing..?? please), but obviously it's part of the landscape now...and for those who use it, especially someone as high-profile as Kaepernick, it would behoove them to be a lot smarter about it.

Kap should be forced to help disaster relief efforts for 2 weeks.

It's not that he meant to make light of the situation in Houston. It's the lack of maturity and bad decision making. Dude needs to think and not make rash decisions, even on Instagram. Glad he apologized but with some actual thought into what he does, then there is no situation

Should have played it off like a public service announcement. "Told you storm was coming. Hope you prepared a flood kit and remembered to disconnect all electronic appliances."

This is exactly right. Just a dumb mistake. Kap meant no harm so folk can relax. He apologized for his mistake with sincerity. There is no reason for any of us to take what he posted as anything other than a mistake. Kinda like me meeting a totally and insanely hot chick that I have never seen before in my life and we start dating and I bring her home to ma and she informs me that she is my 2nd cousin on my estranged dad's side. My bad I apologize and this won't happen again. No need to crucify the guy over this yet I have seen posters in this thread that haven't been here in ages but were ready to pounce once Kap had a slip up. Quite telling indeed
This is stupid... ppl act like he is laughing at ppl caught in the storms. Kaep owes no one anything.

I can agree with this. It was dumb and I am certain he feels pretty stupid right now but he did apologize with sincerity and I have to believe this will help him to be a bit more cautious when making Instagram posts hereto forth

Exactly.

And to be honest, I don't care what he tweets, or does off the field. As long as he's not getting in trouble with the police, or getting suspended, who cares....

Yeah...it was just a dumb ass thing to say. You just gotta believe he didn't realize how bad this storm was. At least he apologized, I think a good play would be to donate to a relief effort. I'm sure ESPN is gonna go full retard on this though.

You need to be his publicist thl408 also can let him know a few things you see on film as well. Win-win scenario.
How many mistakes are you allowed? However, if he wins games that's all anyone cares about.
Just another example of him being an overgrown embarrassing teenager. He's 27 and by the hashtags he uses and pictures of his shoes that he takes, you'd swear he's 14. His lack of maturity at age 27 is absolutely absurd. Remember when he wore a dolphins hat because he liked the "style of it". Really? I thought that ended in 2nd grade.

Stop posting pictures of your dumb workout routines, stop engaging in online battles with strangers, and the latest--stop making insensitive comments about a natural disaster because of the coincidental relationship it has with a dumb hashtag you invented. Here's a hint: If you use the term "haters" and put yourself on a pedestal like it's you against the world, you're basically a 13 year old.

I swear he was more mature in his second year than he is in his fifth. Take the time to learn how to play the game better and stop acting like a tool on social media. You're making us look bad.

For some people as long as you are wearing red and gold you are excused for your actions.

Kap is an embarrassment
